yea.. real sad to hear.. but i guess it had to happen sooner or later.. as with every thin with the japanese if it dsnt make Financial sense it goes out the window... hell even the most passionate ppl in bikes the italian's stopped makin the RS250 ..well should give em credit for hangin on to it for so long though. BUT , the stroker may be dead but it aint buried..aprilia is trying out a new type of stroker engine tied up with an aussie co known as Orbital.. some of u guys musta heard bout it..they r trying out a stroker engine with fuel injection . smethin of the likes which Bimota tried to do with their 500Vdue but failed... aprilia have already put a small engine into production in a scooter.. lets hope it makes it... coz i miss the strokers like hell... if the Bimota had made it to production proper...AWWwww mann cant even begin to imagine what it would have done to the sports bike world... no R1 , Gixxer or Ninja would even come close.. mannnn

cheers!!

may be due to the new emission norms.even the max100 and kinetic zoom will be phased soon.thats the reason kinetic is busy with the nova and TVS for a 4-stroke version of the max100.but what will yam give instead of the legendary RX?the fazer???????????????????????

I'm not really surprised at this bit of info... I kinda expected it to happen with the stance our government (along with the masses) have towards two stroke engines... Its kinda sad to hear though..

nothing like that abhi..only thing is no more production of 2 strokesafter 6 months.its advisible to refresh your bike and keep a stock of oversized piston sets etc. most of the parts like brake pads, shocks, cables are identical with the yamaha 4 strokes.so there will be no problem for parts.since the country has so many Rx.s no vendor is going to stop production of parts.
