is there any difference between BHP and HP . I know what is HP but is it any different from BHP cos it is used in automobiles only.

bhp is brake horse power and is the term used now.it is measured at the crank or at the rear wheel by using a dyno.resistence is applied and engine's work done is measured in bhp.also kilo watt is used which is more than bhp.
