I'm living in Delhi. My roomie is interested in buying a RD. Could anyone advise me as to where to start looking? And a rough idea of the price range vs age would be cool.

Thanks

35k can be a steal for such bike.but my doubt is tht it'll be on sleeves.check for tht.also get checked if connecting rods r fine and coils r good.post the condition of the pipes and paint.

Hi Rajnish,
That bike is sold now for 35K.....How do I check the condition of coils [?] would like to know about it coz I'am now hunting for low priced RD's and also wut r the piston sizes which can be put on an RD apart from the standard piston[?]Can u also plz tell me something about the jets ? Do ppl alter the jets 2 [?]

One RD guy was telling me that first the petrol gets collected in the first carb and then in the second carb........as soon as u start the bike within secs the other exhaust also begins to fire equally. Is that true[?]

I'am sorry if these questions irritate u....but I don't want to get cheated in the market.

LOL the guy which told u bout the carbs seems brilliant.the carbs r syncronized to lift together and both have independent fuel lines.the cylinders fire alternatively.
The coils can be checked by a multimeter.
Apart from the std size there are 4 oversizes avbl, though yamaha recommended just upto .50 over or 2nd over.
Sadly ppl alter jets too,put smaller mains to get milage. They should buy a step thru if they need milage.jets should be atleast 140 mains and 25 pilots.don't buy a bike running chambers.
