Default My RD350 Drag Bike - Update

well its been a long time, so heres the update on my drag bikes progress. Got her started up and running this past weekend, still some work left before shes complete though

couple of pics and bikes current specs below:

Specifications:

1) Big bore custom liners (made to higher HRC levels).Bridged Intake and exhaust ports for better engine life.

2) Stage 4 drag porting (from www.rddreams.com) tuned to 70bhp at the crank with over 1000 hours of simulator development using the best engine simulators in the industry.

3) Cylinder heads: : High comp 16cc heads with offset domes with MSV 32 m/sec.

4) Ported crankcase, lightened and reinforced crank

5) Wiseco 66mm banshee racing pistons

6) Fibre dual stage racing reeds by TDR

7) Custom racing pipes ( design by SRW racing sweden http://www.stannakajak.com/skalmanmc/rd350/ )

8) Digital programmable cdi igntion (by www.rddreams.com)with 13000rpm rev limiter, multiple timing curves, two stage rev limiter, shift light

9) Drag prepared gear box blue printed with under cut gears.

10) Overall weight reduction (by atleast 15kgs, will know exact figure when the bikes ready) / considerably lowered CG


Pending work / mods:
-----------------------
1) full front fairing to come (TZ style)

2) 34mm mikuni flatslide racing carbs (running stock vm28's during run in)

3) racing rear sets / brake & gear linkage mechanisms

4) UNI or K&N performance airfilter setup (yet to decide)

5) front disc setup

6) chroming the pipes and new redesigned end cans

7) Michelin M45 rear tyre and smaller 2.75 x 18 tyre for the front (currently 3.00 x 18)

8) Misc sticker work

i'm hoping to get this to be the top drag RD in the country and looking to set a new landspeed record soon [8D]..before u ask why the headlights, its there coz this is still my weekend ride and i plan on riding her to work every once in a while as well..after all wheres the fun in owning a drag bike if u cant ride it on the street every now and then and have some fun [}]

Nice mods and
For how much a person sells a RD350 if he is selling it.

Are the new michelein u mentioning can bear the speed of the bile as it is 70 bhp and should touch 170-175kmph I thing?

What say?

So finally we less fortunate mortals get to see Killer's killer bike [] Simply awesome & nicely done man [8D] hey u not goin for the rear disk [?] btw i really like the rear body work looks like a proper drag bike, & have toyed wid the idea of shaping the tank like the cafe racers, i mean the rear wud compliment it & wud give u a better riding position, just a suggestion

killer looks for killer bikes... i just love it... last time i saw the pics the seat was not painted... beautiful man.... wish i could hear it and see it in action..... aah that will be long wait i guess...
