For those people who own these scooters, you can download the workshop/service manuals for some of them here.....

1. For LML NV http://iheartstella.com/2008/04/genu...owners-manuals
2. For Bajaj Scooters http://www.bajajusa.com/Tech%20tips.htm

I found it to be the best vehicle for the very narrow village roads covered by bambo forests .. literally it could go anywhere if you were the sole rider on it ... however with a pillion it was a different thing altogether ... and it was simply the best for riding on the sandy riverbeds of the mighty brahmaputra ... i simply loved it ...

Ahhh!! Nostalgic!!! My dad had a green Vespa Select II. I still remember the acceleration it had. My dad says it was the only vehicle out of all he had an emotional attachment with. He said he had managed to hit 100 many times and 80 was a breeze. Pretty stable scooter and highly reliable. Wish I had one. I still keep pestering my dad why he sold it!!!!

My dad found an excuse (not enough space and no one to ride around) to sell the LML scooter when I was in the US. I found it out only when I went to Assam and India in December.. As I was hell bent against it he did not tell me before selling it ! The last post suddenly made me nostalgic !

Me too having nostalgic memories of my dad's LML NV Spl on which I had my initial days of riding after learning bike-riding.
When we switched to LML from a Chetak we owned before, the change was just noticeable even though they both have 150cc engine.
LML was more refined and pwerful, the exhaust note was smooth, less-vibration, better pick up, convenient rear brake pedal, stepney tyre on side for balancing engine-weight, good electricals and switches and above all a good front suspension.

I used to race with Pulsars and Fieros using it sometimes, even have won sometimes

What kind of humiliation one would suffer when beaten by a scooter in a drag!!! Only vespas could do that!! Correct me if I'm wrong......
