Hello friends,
Is there any other nut crack like me who does serious touring on LML scooters ? Once I did a 2700km road trip within Assam covering almost entire Upper Assam. The scooter belongs to my dad. It is an LML NV Xpress 5 . Now a days mostly I tour on my Pulsar 180 but still go out on my scooter for some long ride sometimes. I am so fond of it that I will not let my dad sell it. I n fact that trip was my first serious trip. I did it mostly solo. Happy riding. |

The LML was awesome ... I loved the quick steering, the brakes and the ability to go fast over potholes due to the hard suspension ... and the pickup was also awesome by the standards of that time .. and its reliability was another good thing ...
@ MG Biker : I didnot have a camera then... So I have very few pictures of that ride which I really regret now a days ... I had gone to some of the most inaccessible areas of this region on that vehicle .. But i do have some photos of the ride that were taken by a film camera .. nxt time i go home I will scan them and post it in xBhp ... |

Hey mate, I haven't really toured all that much on a scooter but I once did a trip from my college in Shimla to Mohali, & although I also used to ride my Chetak quite a lot back home, but never really thought of it as the touring machine. This was the first & till date the only time when I have actually done something of that sort, & the real reason why I did the trip on a scooter was because I couldn't find a bike, & so had to do with a scooter. It was a trip with 4-5 other friends, & although we decided that we would take turns riding the scooter, but then I ended up riding the whole distance & that too by choice. (haha). Felt nice remembering those times. Take care. Happy & safe riding, Prakhar |

Bajaj Super scooters were also a favourite of mine, especially Bajaj Super FE 12V ..I started proper riding on that scooter... when I was in 11th my dad got the LML NV ... from then on it became like my own scooter... i hated to leave it in my home in assam while I had to go to Warangal for my studies .. used to ride it like a nut during the vacations .... after my father got a car during the second year of my engineering he more or less stopped riding the scooters esp the bajaj super .. he then sold it off .. from then I started touring on the LML .. that scooter is still there in my home .. everytime I go home I wash and polish it ... well nxt time I go home I will change the tyres .. they have become almost flat ... and time for some paint job as well ...
Happy riding guys ... One thing I forgot to mention, I had found the seat of the bajaj scooter to be really comfy ... even my ex girlfriend used to say that she liked the pillion seat very comfortable .. |

I did a whole load of riding with my lml vespa 150nv in and around mh in my college days. Guess what i recently got the scooter completely restored. cant let it go. too many fond memories. It never once let me down. not even a puncture outside town. It is gorgeous. It is one nippy scoot. It could out drag an rx with rider and pillion. an rx with only rider is another story altogether.....
