And in 1996 I went to my first AutoExpo. My granpa, dad and I were walking out of the hall that had all the concepts on display. And we passed the Indian motorcycle stalls. I saw the KB125, Yamaha RXG...even the Suzuki Max100R. Then there was what I think was a car modifyers stall and there I saw a contessa classic limousine. But right next to that was the Yezdi stall. It was outdoors and had a white backdrop with the red Yezdi logo. There were just 2 people in that stall. That's where I saw 2 Yezdi's and a red 593 which I guess was just a concept, a dream...it was never going to built the man told me. I asked him why and he just shrugged. I recall the second man who was much older had a sad look on his face and was almost in tears. No one else was at their stall and no one had visited all day. What a sad way for an iconic brand to die. My heart gets pulled when I think about that day. I guess they knew it was a different world and it was going green and they didn't stand a chance against the 4 stroke barrage that was going to strike. Btw, those were the first brand new Yezdi's I had ever seen! I think they were Roadkings...
