Default My drag RX project

Its been awfully long since i posted up. Whats been keeping me busy was the recent drag RX project I was working on. I lost a few pics while the rebuild documentation but will post what I have here..cheers

I got the bike donated to me by a dear friend. It was unused for 4 years and had been down in the 26th july mumbai flood..the engine was a good 3 feet inside the ground and i had a tough time digging it out. She was an 1986 RX100

then for some beautification and chassis work that followed. Got a good paint guy to work on the tank and other bits

then followed the engine. This took seriously long

Conversion to a 60mm RXK [malay] piston
Brand new Crank
RXG clutch
5 speed transmission
Yamaha Banshee Reeds
A fw other trick bits
DIY porting
DIY expansion chamber

with due course and time, she started taking shape. Was awfully painful to have low cash days, mindless days, studies and my parents screaming at me all day,

here's some of the goodies that went into the bike

9 months of hard work, failure and success and giving up on the project, she got completed just in time for the drag races, torquenite and speedrun

And finally, here's presenting you "Renegade"

I apologize for the bad quality pics. Will post up better pics very soon.
This project is very close to my heart. It represents one of the toughest times I had in my life that represented those 9 months, not just the bike. And abobe all it gives me a sense of accomplishment that yes I could build what I dreamt of

Cheers

Atul Haldankar

[better pics to follow soon]

The mumbai floods had taken a toll on the bike.

Guys,

I'm not able to see the pics here. Is it just me or even others aren't able to?

Atul,

Great going man. I'm slowly getting pulled towards the strokers seeing you and the other guys.
