Default The saga of my RX135

First of all sorry for the confusing title guyz

Me being a hardcore lover of rx got this beauty after a long search of 2 years on april 02/08 considering the bike was in pristine condition cosmetically but the main bearings were shot and some rings sound were there, so gave the bike to a well known tuner in bangalore who literally did a crap rebore job on it the bore itself was in a oval shape as told by atul, me being dumb person literally running around to many garages in the town for a better job everybody used to rip me hard and rape my pocket like anything the bike never used to go beyond 70kmph no matter what you do, after so many hickups and problems came over i decided rather to start wrenching myself or sell the bike away, scaryskulls at tbhp was very helpfull and he started motivating me to do the wrenching i have to thank him a lot for that.

Now the best came up is it all started after i got the banshee reed valves from a friend of mine and was thinkin how to fix it i contacted atul and sent hime the barrell head to him al most 15 days my bike was lying idle in the portico whenver i see the bike used to kick myself and say get it running asap, f, i actually decided to get the carburettor and reed valve but things went wrong and i got a different set up from atul, these were the mods done :

1) Intake porting for the banshee reeds.
2) Street port on the barell.
3) Head squished for gaining more compression.
4) Rebore to 0.75 oversize.
5) Mikuni VM-26 carb.

Finally i receive the barells from atul with a lot of hickups from the courier company overnight i sat and started assembling it i said atul i want to run the stock filter set up and complete the runnin later will shift to the foam filter (uni) atul told me bike will never run properly but i decided lets see what happens and jetted the bike accordingly the bike used to flutter like hell and was dying at the same moment three days i bang my head on it and all goes in vain and untouched the bike for the week or so, one fine saturday night i took the bike out playing with the airscrew and again the same story repeats i got so pissed took the stock airfilter and battery out and placed the foam filter which atul had sent me along, tighten up the screws fix the side sheilds back and decided to take a spin (air acrew untouched) bike fires up hit the first gear and vroooom he takes off and i come to a halt and started thinking why there is no fluttering, i say myself atul was right and look at the watch it shows 11:50pm the bike was revving like never before, decided to check till what extent he revs at 3rd gear so deserted roads and being no traffic floored the bike within no time bike does 8.6k rpm in 3rd gear while speedo shows 92kmph with my weight of 90kgs with 1 more gear to go ( i had a rxz speedo set up that time) i was so happy and freaked out at the same my legs were trembling like hell i had never ridden a fast 2stroke before may be that would be the reason for trembling ..

As days passed on the bike needed upjetting badly i had to give a bigger genuine main jet, i have to thank teji a lot for offering me a genuine jet and helping me at the same time thanks paaaji today my old man runs like a horse which has drank cocaine . did a recent speed check with a speed gun he is hitting 110 on the speed gun with a stock silencer and compression ratio of 140psi, i know its less he has just started of and he doesn't have a tacho once the tacho is on he needs to figured outwell.

Hope i have not bored you guyz out with my long posts and stupid stories ...

Congo Pradeep Avre.

Now that you have started to do your own wrenching, take her to a true 130-140 with the big man's/Atul's services.

ah finally a thread for your beloved RX

Its good you took the right approach and got your stroker done right. It takes a lot of self involvement to get things right, which is a very good thing about you. Most RX rebuilds go kaput because of lack of commitment and the owners don't know much about the bike..Its good you took the pains to become aware of your machine and get the jetting right

Just spoke to tejinder..He was running a 16/34 sprocket and you were running a 16/38 hence the lower top speed

If you revert back to stock 16/34 you'll see that she's easily going above a comfortable 120kph..

Time to get a motorpipe and get this kicking
