To put it simply..I think...the whole setup is badly ****ed man

I want to start from a clean sheet of paper.

100 here, 200 there...sab milaake....in the end....you will burn the same amount of money or more than going for a proper stock setup.

I sincerely suggest you to again consider a total revamp. Agar budget nahin hain to koyi baat nahin - ye sab jugaad chodo yaar...kuch nahin hoga..Its going nowhere. But I really admire your tenacity Keep that quality in your but stop trying to fix this thing. Save up ...and go for the full monty later on.

Default RX135 bore/piston issues.

I have 1997 RX135 and currently there is problem with crankshaft noise and bore/piston issues. Pls. let me know whether there are any good local mechanics in Chennai specialising in Yamaha. Most of the ASC are new and hence not reliable. How is the one in PH road. currently giving waterwash and gen. servicing to castrol bike zone.

Thanks
Sriram

Now i need your say on somethings , please help me troubleshoot.

1. When the pillion sits , do the suspensions depress ? .
One mechanic told me it should not depress like that , says springs got less tension i.e., faulty shocks .
But the shock absorber expert told its absolutely good n working fine .
STOCK SHOCKS at the 3rd or middle position .
So anyone here got a 3.00 x 18 tyre ? . I got a dunlop uni-grip which seems a more huge than dunlop mystery than which is passion 's default tyre.
Does the rear mudguard touch the tyre when you are riding with a pillion n go over pot holes or speed breakers . Does it hit in these two situations ? .

Maniac I use 3.00-18 in rear and i have increased the height of my bike's rear shock absorbers.... but in stock aslo it would not touch the rear mudguard, unless and until some really heavy load and a good crater on road.

What could be the possible reason for this i.e., the tyre touching the rear mud guard .

possible reasons IMO may be u using the 3.00-18 without extending the shock abosrber. check the spring coils and also try to refill the shocker fluid.

2. What flasher can I use . Some ASS mechanic told me that 135 has a flasher with earthing wire unlike Rx 100 or most other bikes .
Is it true ? . Man i have looked for this flashers everywhere i could think off but its not there .

Can i fit any normal flasher ? . Any problems in any case ? .

Use the RX135 wiring and get the flasher in it...its good and it would work in that.

3. I hear some strange sound , like something is hitting somewhere .
The sound is also reciprocating .
I ll try and explain .

The sound comes any time it likes while riding .
But I have noticed that it always comes when i ride at low speed with higher gear . Means like trying to move from stand still using 3rd or 4th gear , in 4th it makes more noise . Its a bit loud and feels like something is hitting somewhere .
At high rpms also there is sound like something is hitting somewhere .
The same sound .

It comes even if i am riding in proper gear at proper speed sometimes ... like random but always comes in the situation i told about . Its the same sound . Something you guys can think of ? . Whats the problem .

Is it some big problem ? .

May be the sound what you talking about is "knocking" I think the seniors and experts would be able to explain it better brother...

4. The bike gasps when I release the throttle a bit free while riding .
Means suppose 3rd gear speed range is between 20 - 40 .
When I am riding at 35 and take it easy on the throttle or release a bit , the bike slows down n kinda gasps like its running outta fuel .
It likes oscillates front n back . Which i have never experienced before .

Atul Boss, Psycho, Racoon, Sandeep and other experts would need your help here as I am unable to make it out what the issue can be...

5. The exhaust note has changed . First it was like THUD THUD THUD THUD. Now its kinda THUDDUDUDUDUDTHUDUDUDUDU.
means at first it was like with breaks thud thud now its continuous thudhdudud.

Thats just the idling tuning of the bike which needs to be adjusted nothing to worry about it. Just need some good mechanic to tune your bike properly and it would be good.

4 stroking ? . Whats the solution ? .

GUYS PLEASE REPLY TO THE QUESTIONS .

Thanks for your time .

Hey Maniac my answers in bold...cheers

First clarify me these two things :

1) Did you buy an RX 100 ??
2) Or you bought an rx 100 converted to 135 ??

Hmmm 15 pages and still u cant restore your rx to running condition, i pity you man
