Day 1 2nd July:
Came back from office at 1am and was not able to sleep due to excitement. Original plan was that Bishal aka Devilish and Argha aka Scilentkiller would come to my place at 4am and then we would start. But rain delayed us by 1 hour, at last started from my place at 5.12am, My bike was filled up to brim and Devilish and Scilentkiller tanked up at Delhi UP Border, roads empty, bags packed and we started tp move towards Shimla as our original plan was to reach Rampur on day 1.
First stop at Murthal to have breakfast and plan accordingly. As soon as we reached Kalka traffic hit us hard and slowed our speed. As we reached Shimla we wasted our 1 hour searching for a good place to eat as its almost as crowded as Delhi, I swear I am not going to visit Shimla again. After roaming here and there for an hour we finally decided to reach narkanda and have food over there. Without thinking what kind of roads we would face there. Our first experience with Off-road literally no roads and temperature dropping down as we moved further. At 5.30pm we reached Narkanda experiencing numb fingers due to the chill. We thought of taking halt there and then move towards Rampur next day. Had a tough time searching for a good hotel with parking facility, but whatever we got was enough. Bought some warm clothes , had dinner and off to sleep.

Pics enroute Narkanda, first two when we just crossed Shimla, look at the weather and the other ones when the temperature dropped

Day 2 3rd July:

Woke up to a sunny morning and without even thinking where to reach today we started to reach Rekong Peo. Roads from Narkanda to Rampur are heaven, downhill, too many turns and curves, smooth roads, I guess that was the last time when I saw "roads". Reached Rampur and filled up the tanks to brim again. Had breakfast and reached Chitkul. To be frank I just hated those rocky bumpy ride that we had, no roads at all and all we were doing is 20kmph uphill ride, stressing our machines to the max. At last we reached Chitkul , which was again unplanned and was decided on the spot that we are extending our trip to one more day as we were running late by few hours. Had garama-garam Maggi and tea there and decided to stop at Sangla. Bishal called his uncle and asked which hotel he stayed when he was here. Found that hotel and to our surprise it was all Bengali staff, got a good deal for the room there. While coming to sangla we experienced small streams "on the roads" which gave us an idea what Maling would be, the chilled water from the stream gave us frostbite "almost". Anyways after the back an bum breaking ride, we just had our dinner , pulled Scilentkiller's leg at every sentence he spoke and went to sleep.

These two days had nothing special, just riding , searching hotel , eating and going off to sleep.
Day 3 onwards the excitement started

Roads towards Rampur:

And these roads towards Sangla & Chitkul:

Chitkul, Beautiful place :
