Tip of the Day

Who’s behind me?

Keep checking those mirrors for traffic and situation behind you. The RVM’s give a good field of view for vehicles following some distance behind. For those closer, you need to turn your head and use your peripheral vision.

    Thumbs up Khushboo Gujarat Ki

    Khushboo Gujarat Ki

    Date: 18-22 Apr

In this journey, We ( Me with my younger sister ) covered places like Beautiful Sasan Gir Forest, Somnath temple, passed Porbandar & finally reached Dwarka.
Return leg was a different route moving towards Rajkot and finally meeting NH8 at a place called Anand followed by the beautiful 3 lane highway all the way upto Thane.
This log would be less writing and more of a photo feature so please feel free to ask any questions. We covered in total 2100 kms in 5 days and believe me in the entire trip, roads were just too good to ride.
Even the State Highway are maintained exceptionally well, the roads even in the most interiors never failed to amaze us. Road Infrastructure is brilliant and has been made keeping in mind it should be good for years to come.
If you wish to ride as per the route provided by Google then without GPS to reach Gir is like suicide. Thankfully, I have GPS in my phone which helped us all the way till we reached Gir.
People were very friendly and unfortunately majority of them do not speak Hindi so be prepared to do lot of hand actions and gestures to convey your message
All the places visited were good to visit at least once and Gir is a place where I would surely go again and may be stay 2 full days.

More to follow with limited write up...

    Here's the trip map

Reached Gir through the interiors of Gujarat and finally took the coastal route to reach Dwarka

Glimpse of one of the beautiful State Highway

Scenic view on both sides of SH keeps you going.

One of the very rare stretches of bad roads

What on earth was this? I still do not know

Finally the last stretch of 15 kms to reach Sasan Gir goes through deep forest where we were advised not to stop in between and go straight till you reach the other side of the gate.

Finally we reached the other side of the gate.

The Real Deal - King of the Jungle

Deer - You will be able to spot deer's in plenty in the entire Gir Forest.
This one is male as it has horns.

Clicked in Devaliya which is 16 kms Jungle where animals like lion's and deer's are kept in captivity. Very good for tourists who will not return with disappointment as chances of spotting Lion in open jeep jungle safari is less

Like I said, they are found in plenty everywhere

Our National Bird - Peacock! Looks very very beautiful indeed.

Somnath Temple - 45 kms from Sasan Gir

    Coastal Line roads

Another view of the coastal line road

    Coastal Line - NH51

    Coastal Line - NH51

    Dwarka - Shiv Ling

    Nageshwar Temple - Dwarka

    Nageshwar Temple - Dwarka

    More to come...

keep those pic coming,no need to write triplog, pics are doing enough justice.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
    #overkill is underrated.
#how random roads may appear there is always a destination.
#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

I'm already a big fan of Modi Ji, now that you've shown what can one expect in GJ, I'm not going to spare it with RJ. Excellent, pls show us more of GJ where you people have ventured.

Thanks Avi. All you buggers gave Taang or else it would have been double fun riding in group.
