It was a Friday also it was 1st of the month that means salary day for me. So me and my 2 colleagues (Dustin & Pratheesh) thought of going out for dinner. After leaving office at 7 pm on 1st February, we headed to indiranagar to have dinner, we finished our dinner by 10 pm After that we thought of going out of the city for jus a small ride, we decided upon tumkur coffee day and reached there by 11:30 pm. The tumkur road was hell until nelamangala junction.

Day 2 3rd February

Now it was the closing time for the shack and v thought of having a walk on the beach but Pratheesh wanted to go back to the room to sleep coz it was 12 midnight. Dustin asked Pratheesh to go and sleep and told him to keep the door open coz v had only one key. Then me and dustin sat there had a lot of smokes and v saw one shack open so went there and bought some beer and 2 packs of cigarettes and till 4 in the morning v were roaming around on the beach and by 4:30 am v started sleeping and slept till 10 coz v had to vacate the room by 11.

Day 3 4th February

BY 11 am v vacated our cottage and took our bikes and went to the nearest ATM to take out some cash and went searching for a bag for me coz dustin & Pratheesh had a bag to carry their dresses and I was carrying mine in covers which were hanging on both sides of bike’s handle bars and finally v couldn’t find any so thought of buying one from panjim. Then at 12 noon v started from calangte and reached panjim and filled the tanks then headed towards madgaon and after reaching madgaon I realized I had to buy a bag then saw a RBK store with 50% off sale going on got inside there and bought one for jus 600 bucks and then filled all my clothes inside that and headed towards Gokarna. We thought of having our lunch in karwar but couldn’t find any good ones on the way so v continued till gokarna and reached there at 3 and went of straightly to the beach coz v didn’t knew the route OM beach, on the way to OM beach my bike jumped into a pothole and my bikes chain guard broke and had tie it with rope. We parked our bikes and went down to the beach walked around for ten mins and then sat in the only hotel present there to have our lunch and v had some awesome sizzlers u could ever have. V lazed around there after the lunch and finally by 6 v again started from there headed towards honavar to take the jog falls –shimoga - arsikere route. V reached honavar at around 7pm and v took a left towards shimoga and after traveling 17kms v realized that this route is gonna be dark, short roads, very less traffic and no mobile connectivity and as well as jungle and ghat roads.. so v decided to head back and take the mangalore route and v reached back to honavar at 8:15 pm and took a break and then again started our joyurney this time towards mangalore.

It was around 9:30 pm that I accidentally hit a dead dog at a speed of around 100kmph but somehow managed to control the bike and Pratheesh who was coming behind me also jumps over it and to our luck he also manages to control his bike. It was small shocker for us so v stopped at roadside shop and had few pepsi’s and smokes

.. then by 10:30pm v reach kundapur and v stop there to have some tea coz all were feeling sleepy and v also had some omlette’s and then v started from there at 11:15pm and traveled continuously on NATIONAL HORROR 17(NH17) to reach mangalore by 12:15am not bad.
DAY 4 5th February

We stopped at petrol bunk in Mangalore; I filled up my tank and then headed towards the diversion to Bangalore. I must say that the NH in Mangalore was a mess at that time due to the works on it. Now after taking the diversion v headed towards Bangalore and on the way few kms before uppinangadi we saw a tea shop open in the midnight so v stopped to have a tea to get rid of the sleep coz v had to ride the whole night. V decided to take the Madikeri route via puttur and sullia so that v wont have to take the shiradi ghats as the roads there were in miserable state . v took a right from the Bangalore road and headed towards puttur, after puttur the roads were in a real bad state and v were continuously jumping into potholes one after another and finally some 26 kms before madikeri v again found a tea shop which was open coz the buses from Bangalore were taking this route due to road repair works on shiradi ghats. V had a 20 mins stop there and while climbing the ghats to reach madikeri v got stuck in between coz 2 KSRTC Volvo buses were trying to pass each other on a turn and v got stuck there for another 20 mins and Finally By 4am V reached madikeri and the place was too cold and v were shivering like as if v were standing naked in Kashmir coz v hadn’t slept from almost 18hrs. Then the roads to kushalnagar from there was like hell it took as 2 hrs to cover a distance of 30 kms. V headed towards mysore and at mysore dustin and Pratheesh filled up their tanks and suddenly dustin started laughing at me, I asked him what happened, he asked me to have a look in the mirror, my face was black in color. Dustin and pratheesh’s faces too were black but not as much mine. Then it was continuous ride till the bridge on mysore road near channapatna v stopped there to have a smoke and again v took off and continuously road back to our office in sigma tech park near varthur lake by 9:15am(v skipped office on Monday for which v had to give explanation lolz), straight v headed to the office bathroom cleaned ourselves up and went to our respective workstations only to sit there and doze off most of the time.

We traveled a total of 948kms from Goa – Bangalore via Mangalore, Madikeri, Mysore in 21hrs. this was the one of the craziest trip ever in my life. Photos are very less coz v didn’t even take our mobile chargers.

Couldnt take much pictures coz i we didnt have our mobile chargers and these pictures are taken from mobile...... i will post some beach pictures in my next thread.......
