Tip of the Day

Look all over

Develop an eye-scan pattern while you ride. Left far to right far to right close to left close with a once in two scans glance at the RVM’s and the instrument panel. For a focused rider, scanning is a patter-break detection system.

    Hi pinakipulsar,

Reach Jaigoan on day 1 and stay put.

Next day apply for tourist visa(permit), Indians are issued free visa for 15 days valid for Paro/Thimphu from Phuentsholing. Note, they will ask for Passport or Election I-card.

Once you have this visa go to RTA office(same as our RTO) and ask for road permit for 2wheeler. You can get this at a very nominal rates. The documents required here will be valid Driving License, RC book, PUC certificate, and Insurance papers.

Both paperwork can be done on the same day and you can leave for Paro that day itself...it takes 5 hours approx from Phuentsholing to Paro.

In Paro you can get room for as low as Rs/Nu 500 to as high as ...

    All the best.
It's not the hours you put in, it's what you put in the hours!

During my recent search I was informed by few guys that since 2011 onwards Passport is compulsory to get tourist visa for Indian citizens in Bhutan.

I would suggest you to double check incase you don't have passport.
