@Sandeep,
When i gave my R15 for service dey insited to pour synthetic to reduce engine vibration. But dey didn't hav the recommended 20w40 oil . But dey(yamaha service mechanic) quaranteed dat R15 can run on 15w50(motul). What do u say on this?
Since der's no motul 20w40 syn oil, is it wise to go for any xW40(like motul 10W40 or 5W40)

Guys who have Unicorn and variants and ZMA can try AGIP 5W40 Fully synthetic oil. Cost is 500 bucks. I have it on my Fiero, I would say, the acceleration is better than what u get from the Motul 300V as the motul is a thicker oil [xW50]. Even my friend has used it on his unicorn and he is damm happy.

IMO any semi-synth or fully synth will last for at least 3500-4000km before you might feel the need to change it ... just my opinion.

Yup - if your manual says 20W40 then you can use anything from 0W40 to 20W40 i.e like 5W40,10W40,15W40 etc... As long as the oil rating doesn't increase the first number mentioned - its fine. SO you can use XW40 where X is less than or equal to 20.

BTW - isn't AGIP now available at YMIL showrooms ? They have huge stockpiles at Orion Motors near Forum.
