Default Going Green While Touring.....

I am totally disappointed by the delayed monsoons this year and Man.. this global warming thing is really kicking in and really starting to hurt now..We should do something about this.

Xbhp came to mind.. And I figured that xbhp guys are the perfect guys to at least initiate this..
Remember the initiative taken by the Mumbai guys to clean up a lake.. That was a real good thing that was done..!!

I want to put forward my thought on how we guys can help, even at an individual level, in the Go Green initiative to help curb global warming.

We have many adventurous guys out here touring and riding long distances and going places.

In the process we do put our share of hydrocarbons in the atmosphere adding up to the already worsening situation.
Not that I am telling you guys to stop riding but here is what I think we can do.

Everytime a group/individual goes on a tour, the guy(s) can plant 2 saplings per person along the roads or in your own locality/societies or any place you find suitable for the growth of that plant into a tree.
For example the saplings planted could be of Banyan/Mango trees as these grow real fast and have a real huge green canopy.

This is just one of the ideas that has come to mind and I really hope that it could be implemented.
I personally want this thread to be in the tourer section so that every touring enthusiast reads this and tries to implement it.

Guys, I would also like everyone of you to come with ideas for this "Green Touring" initiative and implement it.

Thanks..

Okay nice thinking. After reading an idea struck to me.
Already we are having an Xbhp tee of black in color we can also have green color and have a slogan on Xbhp Go Green - Plant trees.

Nice initiative of idea to plant saplings, green t-shirt... great man As I am myself a nature freak, you know we can also spread awareness among the riders and the drivers to shut down the engine when on red light...just to create awareness and tell them to do it and help our nature.... or we can also plan a "No engine On time", like by proper corrdination and proper channeling, "if we Xbhpians can convince the authorities and people to shut down the egine of their vehicles for 5minutes throughout India once in a month", it would make quite an impact on our environment

So yeah StreetHawk good initiative man lets work on it and make our xBhp implement it in practicality....cheers buddy

Interesting...may be ..we can make a sticker which we can attach on the back of our jackets or helmets..which can be easily taken off ...saying Go Green.... or something like that..whenever we go in for a ride..or a tour.. people actually notice. They have asked me a several hundred times about xbhp sticker on my tank..... moreover... a tee would be a good idea...or a green ribbon on the arms...

That's a great idea buddy. Let's see if we can get new t-shirts printed with the slogan.

A very great idea. Very much needed cos the Summers are getting hotter and the winters are getting colder now-a-days.
