When u spend 10 lakh+ on a bike, it all boils down to personal opinion and tastes. U will never use all the features/power etc that the bike will offer. India has still not grown up to SBKs anyway. And this is going to be ur dream come true. Better go with what ur heart says than ask for suggestions and get confused!!!

I'll side with Apar on this one. Go with what your gut says. There can be 'n' number of comparisons between these bikes, but in my book, they're all the same. I'm a decent rider with no racing aspirations, and even if I was ultra talented, I'd still not be able to use / exploit the full potential of any of these bikes. They're just too damn advanced now.

Couldnt agree more, i almost went to book R1 for myself two weeks back here in INDORE, (he was booking it for me for 5000bucks!!!), but then i pulled my hands back and decided to wait for the GSX1000 too, (father coaxed real hard for that)as spending the hard earned 13 lacks on two wheels do requires loads of thinking, to get ur hands on the machine you desire.

I hope 600's should be available legally by the time GSX1000R will be here cuz 600 anyday makes lots of sense.

but the 1000rr is a safe bet..it is like comfortable pair of jeans ..wear it to a club or lounge at home it fits the role..
but from what i have read the r1 is pretty uncomfortable in the city

the the speed differences donot count as i am sure u wont be using your bike for competitive sports

If that were true, then I wonder why the Busa is considered to be the most badass bike by hooligans!

That apart, I have my eyes waiting for the GSXR750 (yeah yeah I know...) trying to convince someone to sell it off now!

Kind of OT here:
Well i have read in several threads that Cbr 600 or Cbr 1000 are good for the starters in terms of handling ,city riding ,comfort, means you'll be as comfortable as you are riding your Indian bikes(not precisely though).Want to know that Gixxers are known as beasts and fast but as they are coming with different riding modes ,will they be as easy to ride in different modes as CBRs ??
