When you get the bike make sure you run in the new engine properly.

The bolder part is actually knee guard. If we are riding in off-roads, there will be lot of pot holes and the road will be not smooth at all. The ride will be very much bumpy so as our body. There are lot of chances we lose control and fall off from the bike. In those situations if we keep our knees tightly to tank, where knee guard will be a kind of grip for our legs and we will be mostly sticking with the bike in bumpy rides. That is the only advantage of knee guard.
Handlebar: It has crossbar to handlebar which gives a off-road looks to the bike and also adds strength. I have not experienced much, but people say cross handlebar gives better control on dirt track/offroad.

Since they have done TR for a little of off-roading, the cost may be more I guess.

I dont have much idea/advantage of tubeless tyres. But TR has off-roading tyres which give better grip.

PS: Since you specifically mentioned you need a reliable bike for travelling in very bad roads, forests & highways, I suggested TR. Other wise any bike can do the purpose. happy riding
Thank you for your help. Today was a very busy day for me. Fell asleep after coming home thus so late.

I just read, some one named shibun, replied to a query in passion/splendor/cd dawn thread. He said that passion XPro is not suitable for a 5ft 4 guy as it is bigger than Honda shine. I am 5ft 2, small build. Please shed some light on it. I was supposed to buy today....

Just sit on the bike and see atleast if you can touch your toes to the ground. I am sure you can. Since you had FZs before I don't think riding XPro wouldn't be much problem.

Please update us which bike you will buy and buying experience...

    Congrats in advance.

Green Black looks good & unique on road.

I think registration cost includes life time tax and many other stuffs.

If you know the exact procedures and in depth knowledge on how to register online, go ahead and do it.

But it is better to get it done by them. If we mess up something we have to struggle a lot...

Yeah.. I am at hero, tried xpro, but height is just like my fz which is not good as chances of dropping this bike is high. Also green black is not available.. Hence..

Splendor pro quoted 59000.. I can almost get my whole feet on ground.. so decided to go for splendor pro. At the same time I got a call about a 1 year old super splendor, which was driven only 30-40 km. The owner could not drive as he had an accident (while walking). He is asking for rs 57000. All the servicings were probably missed.

after the recent development, I did not buy today. What should I do?

sorry for such clumsiness on my behalf.

    Thank you

Avenger is a beautiful bike. But i am in for mileage and I would not have sold my fzs if my option was avenger. It gave me mileage of 42-48 kmpl.

I still suggest you to go for x pro as it has a much refined engine than the passion pro and splendor and power figure close to 125cc bikes

good evening brothers, thank you to all for helping me. but as i am a headless chicken, after a good deal of confusion and stupidity, I have finally bought a bike. I dont know if the decision was ok or stupid. it is one of those which i did not consider, neither have you suggested. here is how i bought this bike.

today morning, after waking up did a good deal of thinking. what to do, super splendor or passion x pro. later decided to go for a new one and started preparing to go to showroom again. while bathing, I got a call from my brother (not own), who is a mechanic. I bought my FZ through him & he sold it too . he told me about a bike which is 6 months old and has rode only 1800 kms. he told me something about owner which i didnot hear/lost concentration as i started thinking again.

as i visited his work shop, he showed me a new bike which was standing there, clean, coloured in Black/Blue. it was hard to say if it was brand new or 6 months old. he told me 55000 is the last he could bargain (obviously he is taking his broker's fee). i though a lot. thought about posting here. but as brokers go, they keep you hungry and confused. he told me to hurry as the person from whom he brought it, was leaving. but i took an test drive of 2 kms, could not hear any problems. he told me to ride this bike for now, if i dont like it, he will sell it at the same price and i can get a new one.

hence, bought that bike. 1/2 hour later, he brought that bike washed, along with some papers from which i could understand that the bike was bought in finance. the owner was unable to pay that amount so the selling. after my query, he said that all the amount has been paid (I believe him atleast in this case).

I rode it for 10-12 km today to work. it was fine. sorry for keeping you guys waiting, it is a hero glamour with self and cast wheels. no disk. only thing i found disturbing is that the tripmeter resets when i switch off the ignition key. i am a little worried as the trip meter might be broken or someone opened it to reset the distance travelled. however going by the looks, it doesnot look like a bike which have run much. any comments regarding this will be of great help.
and sorry for disappointing you guys. thank you.

if you guys think that passion x pro is better than glamour please say so. will sell it after a few weeks and go for x pro..

will post pics. but have to figure out how to.

so, I drove above 300KM after I bought the bike till today. I am getting mileage of 69-70 (highway), 58 (city).. I drove below 50 all the time... although mileage is above my aforementioned requirements, but as humans are never satisfied, still looking for more.. the pick up is good in the 3rd and 4th gear. 1st and 2nd not so. pickup at 30-50 kmph was very good.

But, the tvs tyres tend to skid if there is any sign of sand.

this one might be funny, I cant feel anything from my waist after riding for 1/2 an hour and i get pain sometimes around my ribs (backside). those problems were not there with my fz.

Head light is not that good. also, headlight is ac powered i think. when i release accelerator , it dims to almost zero visibility at night. is there a way to fix this?

the rear brake makes sound when it is used for first time after 1-2 hour interval. anybody else?

else everything is fine. enjoying riding very much.... thank you..
