Wait for Apache RTR 180 or Get the Apache RTR 160?

Hi,
This is Amborish from Siliguri.One of my friend is planning to buy a bike for himself he will be using it for only on weekends and he has shortlisted Apache RTR 180 and Apache RTR 160 and he has already booked the Apache RTR 180 as the dealer said that Apache RTR 180 will be coming by this month and my friend wants to get a bike within 20th of this month and I reallly dont trust TVS as they always mess up with their Launches .
And yes mileage is also a factor and he also wants to know about the mileage and all those stuffs .
So I would request all the Gurus here to please help my friend to get his bike!

And I would also like to know the mileage of Pulsar 200/220 as my also inclined to both these bikes!

I know that the A180 will be a good VFM bike but the thing is that is "TIME" which is very important to my friend who wants to have a bike within 20th of this months!

well i have been always against any "2nd hand" thing, so no comments on that

the problem is that some good bikes are going to be released, but we dont know when....like the RTR180, p200 fi

I myself is waiting for the p200 fi version

You can do one thing, get the RTR160 fi, i can say he wont regret his decision. This bike is worthy.

You can do one thing, get the RTR160 fi, i can say he wont regret his decision. This bike is worthy.

My friend wont buy the Fi Apache because he thinks that the residual fuel thing is useless and will create problem for him in later run
and he thinks that there is not reserve so may create problem!

@haxor: You didn't tell me in your PM that he was planning for a 2nd hand P220!
Anyways, my advice remains the same. Wait for the 180, don't be too strict about the date.
Good news is it will first come in the carb version, rear disc standard. He can go for that as soon as it comes, since you say he has already booked it.

I always say new is new! No matter what he decides on!
I say, let him reconsider the date of 20th&wait for the following:
1. RTR 180 carb
2. P220 UG4
3. R15 new color schemes
&then make up his mind once&for all!

Launch of Apache 180 is expected within this month, as mentioned in the press release of TVS as well...while releasing the sale figures for the last month....
It seems to be a good bike....But pricing would be the deciding factor.......

You dont buy P220, P200 for mileage....
Anyways, rest assured they are better than the competition

Expect both of them to be in the range of 37- 42 kmpl.....!
