Hi this is Raghavan from Chennai. I am a auto mobile enthusiast ...and my favorite past time is to repair bikes and make them non-runners.After learning much at my(and my friends) expense I have sort of restricted my activity..I own a KB 100( yes..1987 Feb) and a Lancer. in good running condition, which are the only victims of my experiments now.I am very happy to be part of Xbhp since sincere,open ,helpful discussions are on ,on all topics...not to forget very witty ,and positive ones

I'm Ragavan and Im from chennai too... I love to go on long tours and I came to XBhp for the same reason as you did. The learning curve as far as mechanicals are concerend are quite seteep for me but I'd love to learn. Where are you from? Im from Mylapore. I own a GS 150 R! Thank you Mr.Ragavan,Jeyessh and Aargee for the warm welcome.I live in C.I.T nagar close to T'Nagar Bus terminal.I am not a youngster like you gentlemen but 58 yrs old. I started using bike from 1977 on when Rajdoots,Jawas were in Vogue.My first bike was a Kinetic 75 cc step through moped for a year in '77. Then I bought a Honda CX 125 Twin which could not be maintained due to lack of spares.I bought a Suzuki 100cc in 84 which lacked performance and road grip.In 86 i bought a Yamaha RX 100 and found it to be poor on stability at70Km speed .Hard Braking would make you go all over the place. In 87 I bought the KB 100 for its Stability even under wet condition.I used the KB for many a long trips.Those days even Our Anna Salai was empty and I could do speed of 80 in city.
I now face the problem of lack of spares for the KB also,since it had been discontinued esp.,bore,piston etc. I am presently on the look out for a used Pulsar 180 to continue my biking .I used to do limited mods for two wheelers which I had now stopped.I drive car more than two wheelers now..for the past 15 years....but the passion is still on.
