Default Bajaj Chetak
Hi all here i am with my first thread posting..my ride is a bajaj chetak(1993)..odo showing 64006 kms done till date..Father used it as his ride.Got engine rebuilt and painting done in 2003 for the first time.Then i occupied chetak that time i was 14 yrs old..untill now ride the same vehicle.i used to get decent mileage of about 35km/ltr but as time passed engine started weakening and mileage dropped to 25 28 km/ltr..so i decided to get the engine done.finally got a new cylinder piston kit from bajaj itself for Rs1120/ only.crank repair and all the engine work including labour and various engine parts came to rs4500/- now i am getting an average of 38 to 41 kmpl top speed attained is 105km/hr speedo error i know..done some 150 kms trips many times and with a pillion..and never releasing the accelerator abt 80 km/hr without any problem. Havent had any problems with it..love to read about other scooter riders....

hi...let me know what kind of help do you want.i am not a professional but since abt 10 long yrs after riding chetak gained alittle bit of knowledge.. and also where are you from?

i just wanted to share my experience with chetak..and to start a thread like ownership of all kind of scooters...kind of confused where to start from so wrote what i got in mind..
