Default Howdy fellow motorbike enthusiasts

Hi Guys,

My name is Amey Kanse--a 25 year old guy working as an Editor at Mumbai.

“The traveler sees what he sees; the tourist sees what he has come to see.”

The travel bug caught me when I was in school. My dad is an avid traveler and we travelled across most of the districts in Maharashtra. My first trip outside Maharashtra was a school trip to Shimla, Kullu, Manali, and Chandigarh. After that the usual happened—10th grade exams, 12th grade boards, entrance exams for engineering, 8 university semester exams of my engineering degree, and I didn’t go on any long vacation for 7-8 years.

I finally got a job and got the freedom to travel on my own with my own money. Started travelling again–went on a trek to the Valley of flowers in Uttarakhand, then a backpacking trip across Madhya Pradesh (Khajuraho, Orracha, Sanchi), another backpacking trip to McLeodganj and Dalhousie in Himachal Pradesh. I also did a couple of scooter trips in Maharashtra. And of course Goa!
Finally in July I completed my Leh trip on my new Honda Unicorn Dazzler.

As a traveler I like to explore an area on my own rather than following a tailor made itinerary. I do make a tentative schedule but once I reach the destination, I try to do things on my own pace. Travelling has opened my mind, introduced me to new cultures and cuisines, and given me lots of patience.

I got a Honda Aviator bought in 2008 and a Honda Unicorn Dazzler bought in May 2011.

I also write the Food and Travel section for a group blog As We Think Is…

Cheers

Really beautiful bro, anyone would like to mimic you for a living. I'd love to pursue a life of your sort not by finance, not by lifestyle, but by mind, by heart and the experiences. Having an open mind and an experience to see things differently takes a lot of chance.. you get there only by some right sight and reasons.

Wishing you a beautiful life, and a mind which opens up further and further. Have a beautiful time riding, cheers to you and your spirit of living. Welcome aboard, and share your logs and experiences and pictures.. looking forward to see more cheers bro!
