If the fe figures are same for Fazer, ZMA & P220, also the price tag is almost around, I would better choose P220. That way I have a little more power which cane be unlkeashed when I want ot open up my throttle.

Generally, I ride on weekends and most of the times highways.

Any clue what would be the model based on which Yam is launching 250cc machine..like is it going to be naked or semi-faired like fazer.

Welcome Sunir to Xbhp.

Firstly, the kick lever doesn't cost Rs. 3500. Someone's obviously leaking some $$$ into their own pockets there.
I did training at Ajmer Yamaha SVC, and they were clear on this- Rs. 100 for a kick lever + Installation charge.

Secondly, if your priorities are handling and comfort, you've made a very intelligent choice. However, earlier I would have suggested you the Honda Dazzler, because FZ can't hand out very impressive mileage. 40~ kmpl is about it.

For mileage, constant speeds and minimum gear shifting is required.

Also, you can modify your bike for more mileage:

1. Get Joel's Performance Exhaust. Will increase mileage too with some noise increment. Joel's located in Bangalore only... This exhaust comes with a noise killer too which you can add to it. It's a great investment.
He has other products for FZ too, like a Big bore 180cc kit, and he's a genius when it comes to Automobiles. He works for a MotoGP Team, Ten10 Racing.
Drop him a mail at: joel@raceconcepts.in.

2. Get a 15 teeth front sprocket belonging to Honda Unicorn or Bajaj Pulsar 150/180 UG3. Might cost around Rs. 100 alone, otherwise the whole kit might be expensive.
This sprocket will increase your top speed and highway mileage, with a slight reduction in acceleration.

Best of luck...

@Sunir - Congrats! What ever the decision that has been taken would be the best for you and I hope too! With the priorities listed out, I would think you found the right compatible machine for your need. Please follow the run-in period religiously to get lasting performance.

@Sumit:- I beg to differ you that Fazer is much better than ZMA in terms of stability and comfort. The whole world knows what ZMA is capable of and not mere city commuter. It is better to avoid such comparison as ZMA is anyway better on the spec compared to Fazer unless you want keep quoting here.

@Samarth 619:- He's getting a new bike, let him enjoy the bike for sometime before it goes to Joel.

Hi Sriram, I am not comparing any machine, I just gave my own perspective after experiencing it. No offence.

First learn about FZ engine. Bore stroke, CC, etc. Need more power buy powerful bike. Need to screw up the engine and spend your weekends at garage instead of riding, then get the engine mods.
