Smile Hi xBhp from MCR, GVA and TVM

Hey,

I am Akshay from sunny(rainy as well) old Trivandrum , Kerala. Moved to Geneva 2 years ago, and now I am studying in Manchester. Been a biker ever since my uncle let me hold the handlebars of his Honda CD100 when I was 4 years old :P. Dad had a major issue with me riding anything back in Kerala but finally did convince him to let me ride a Hero Honda Passion for daily use and drive a Honda City.

Always had a thing for RE Bullets and Machismo but never managed to own one back home. I did ride a friend's Bullet a couple of times and I still recall it to be an experience unmatched.

From high school I aimed to get to England for uni and kept a Ducati poster which I saw everyday when I got up and before I slept. Always had a fascination with Ducati which none of the UJM manufacturers had. Although the Japs and BMW make amazing bikes, just something about Ducati kept me hooked.

Moved to Geneva and the great biking scene made yearn even more for the day I could own my first 600+ bike! There was used bike delaership near my house and I used to go there everyday to Gape at the 916 and the 696.

Even before I got to Manchester I had made my mind up about getting a Ducati Monster 696+ to start off with, luckily there was a great Ducati dealership in Manchester and within a few weeks of getting to MCR I had become a proud owner of a pristine 1500 mile(2414 km) pre owned 2008 Monster 696+on October 2010. It shows 4010 miles(6453km) now and just had Pirelli Diablo Rosso IIs installed and I am planning to take it home(Geneva) in a few months. Carving a path across England, Belgium, France and Switzerland! Btw I am 20 years old!
