Default One more biker.Vrrrrrooooooommmmmmmmmm

Hey guys, wish all fellow riders at xbhp forum gr8 n safe 2012 rides.
I am Rohit from Dehradun this side just joined the forum yesterday.I am a ship Captain by profession and yes i love to be in Command of all my rides from my ship to my bike and this is the reason i have graduated from a lower cc bike to a litre class bike gradually improving my riding skills.
Well have graduated from Enfield 350 to 1000 cc which is my current ride ,the brute of the street fighter CB1000R .
Have had the pleasure of owning the Enfield 350 which made me familiar with bike mechanics, with oil leaks, blown spark plug and the regular nitty gritties which come along with this bike. This was my first bike in the nineties and i was very passionate about it inspite of all said earlier as i would ride from Dehradun to Delhi every weekend to visit my girl in MirndaHouse.
Then came the Avenger which was low on power but still a comfy cruiser which my wife could also ride untill a visit to Enfield showroom saw me staring eye to eye with an Enfield Machismo 500 LB which followed me home like an obedient pet. This bike was fun to ride be it the regular city lanes to the mountains with ample of torque.
The thirst for power never stops and on my rides going to Mussourie passing the probiking showroom in Doon everytime ,i saw the Green Ninja. On one of the rides stepped in the probike shop n sadly Bajaj never offered any test ride but seeing my eagerness the manager managed to offer me a ride ....The bike went Whhheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ,typical twin revving right to my garage alongside my Machismo.
Alas my Machismo was neglected from that time on!!
Three months at sea n once again back to Terra-firma ,my ninja rides continued revving eng to the redline & it was on one such a ride with my riding biker buddy that the brute power of the mighty Cb1000R was discussed at length sipping chai.
Back home was glued on the net ,admiring the Bike from all possible angles inside out ,its potentials, tech specs...same time trying hard convincing my better half n my pillion ride what an amazing bike this is n how much we would love the rides on this sbk.Luckily one honda showroom had this bike on display n the very next morning saw me trying to figure out if i could handle the weight n how my lower limbs would struggle to reach the ground.Yes being 167 cms vertically ,all but my heels would manage the ground.Well i said to myself ,capt lets face ground reality ,only your toes????Nevermind managed some discount here n there on my new machine which was far easier than conincing my dear wifey.
All said n done here i am riding this brute ,the torque streching my arms to limit, once in a while a power wheelie here n there, leaning the bike just right (no chicken strips sir?).I use this bike in n around the city ,for rides out of town n the twisties on the mountain roads.
Wifey loves the rides n i am a HAPPY man.
Before our rides ,we purchased all riding gears from Performance racing & Bachoo motors.SAFETY FIRST!! KEEP THE RUBBER SIDE DOWN!!

Default Honda wingworld unreliable

Heu guys!I'm just pissed with the Honda Wingworld guys in Delhi as they have been totally unreliable.
After a month of the purchase i managed to lowside my Cb1000r ,luckily the speed was just under the ton mark n as a regular practice i'm always geared up.
But my bike was not so fortunate n suffered dented tank, scratched bikini fairings ,broken front indicater, bent handlebar .I informed same to the Honda Wing World pic and as he was out of town,i emailed the photos of the damaged parts. As i was not interested in claiming same from my insurance co hoping to speed up the process.Sent reminders but no reply .As these parts are available with them ,some have to be sourced from Honda Japan .As the bike was under warranty ,i did not want to get it repaired elsewhere.
But with lax attitude of the Honda , i got same done outside n my bike is doing gr8.

Thats one hell of a machine you've got.

Not nice to hear that Honda could not get their act together...I am sure that was very frustrating. Hope things improve though .....anyway thats a nice bike so hope the ride will keep you grinning all the time.

Welcome on board captain!
Awesome bike....
About honda A.S.S its one thing same all around the country. They're useless!!
If one have to get some spares then wait longer then you waited for the delivery.
Wanna get some job done (service etc) then you have to persue the service advicer as well as mechanics.
My opinion & advice get it serviced (& other jobs) at some good aftermarket SVC.
Hope you have a pleasent stay..
