Default Arun from Thanjavur

Hello all, this is Arun hailing from the richly historic city of Thanjavur (Big temple, one of the biggest in India). Schooled in Thanjavur, college in the heartful coimbatore and masters at the university of Texas at Dallas. Worked in USA for 3 years, got bored of that life and returned to India. Now working in Chennai, life is very interesting, the change, and also waiting for individualistic status change ( from bachelor to.......... non bachelor). Big fan of cars, super cars, muscles, jap racers, German diamonds etc etc etc, and love bikes.
The love for bike started when my neighbour kickstarted his RX100 when I was doing my 3rd Grade in school, loved the symphony it created. Little did I know that this was a sign of a budding petrol head. Formula 1 fan, and big time Ferrari , BMW and Williams team fans (consider Sir Frank Williams as one of the best in the business), but not bothered by the anti-McLaran slogans of idiots. After the love for Rx100 started, I became a self appointed payless young marketer of Yamaha. Have sat in terrace for countless days calculating the number of Rx100s and Splendors (its arch enemy those days, in terms of sales I mean, reg the bike, none can touch Rx100) and fighting with sis and friends over it.
Then only once I saw RD350 when in 6th grade, and was awestruck at it. Two stroke's best music. Years passed, biking community deteriorated in progress, and so had to settle for Suzuki Fiero (its original outing) during my undergrad days, mainly because of the sick-public love showered on CBZ by Tom Dick and Harry (all college going young adults, FYI). Loved it, was able to easily beat CBZ in top speeds and the cornering can be bet only by few other bikes. Hated the doom, so changed to CBZ (helping friends to make fun for nearly half a year), increased back wheel hight, tyre size(again CBZ's :-p , yeah I was young back then), and little engine tuning by my friend, it was my tiger (more of a malnutritioned one, yeah!!) back then.
Life took me away from the fun of driving in Indian roads, the s cuts, the stunts before college gals, and in USA, had a 3 liter Mitsubishi Eclipse that made 160 HPs, manual tranny and it was awesome for Texan roads. Badly wanted a Ford Mustang, if only they built a half decent one compared to it's hay day model (1968-72). Now back to our great country (with not so great politicians), badly wanted to restart my thirst for bikes. Test drove around 15 of them, and the decision was simple. Yamaha YZF R-15. Ordered it, and expecting any moment (only if they had red in their inventory). I always love red, have a red skoda fabia TDI (which by itself is an awesome little beast, with one of the best high revving engines I've driven), and so the color choice was simple. Yes, blue is R's traditional, but like I said, I am not too keen to align with traditionality, except when it comes to family.
This is it about me guys, totally hyped, lookin forward for my first Yamaha, saying hello to all fellow motorcycle petrol heads, hoping to meet many in Chennai. I badly want to hit track and learn to drive like a racer (i only said 'like', not 'as'). Ending this useless rant with a big 'HI'
