Not much into Enfields in those days, i was a Yamaha Fanboy in the 80's, but interested in the Zundapp bikes.

Your absolutely RIGHT Buddy...yes it is a Peugeot Sportif !!
Almost started...just trying to fix the electrical s in a single stroke itself
Will post the pics soon, very soon!!
Frank did you notice a point...
Many of our friends, who never come to the forum for discussion for past 2 months ( after me, not responding to many en quires of their requirement of parts , through Telephone , PM & e-mail ) ,As I am not a parts dealer you know..
I don't think this is not a healthy behavior of real enthusiasts
Even real interesting topics( Machines) are not discussed.
any way 'am posting the pics & write up for few enthusiasts like you!!

Yes Bro, noted your point, and no need to respond to Parts enquiries. true enthusiasts should discuss real interesting topics releated to Classic Bikes/mopeds/scooters here. BTW i'v seen your post of Vicy-2 moped which u posted on TBHP, hope u'll start the resto soon.

Was it really termed as Moped when it had ES?

Sir, Can i ask a favor - It would be great if you could let know us here in advance about any shows you are participating (of-course with your collection) so that guys like me can try seeing at-least a few of your machines without troubling your shop & routine. Yes i know we are always welcome but you know the problem lies with my time-planning.

You asked "termed as Moped when it had ES? "
Any Sub hundred cc machines, that to with step thro' & twist and go ( gear less) are termed as Mopeds, at least in India ( Just ignoring the Automobile perfect definitions)
Yes, this PEGOUT Sportif , was a Electric start, with vario matic transmission !!
For sure will write complete inside story of this beautiful machine which Indian public failed to accept at '80 s.
Guess, at first week of September, my city ( district) Automobile parts association may arrange a " Auto Show", where this time ,I have planned to display ONLY SUB 100 cc two wheelers like Explorer, Silver plus, H.student, Sportif, Early Luna (1972), Mofa, Motobecane, Pionyr Jawa,Jet yezdi, if possible my Rap Crown & Vicky ...
sure will PM you friend !!

Muthu sir!
ive been following your threads for a long time now both here as well as in team bhp and i have no other words to say other than truly mind boggling! This inspires young classic motorcycle enthusiasts like me to follow your footsteps.I would really like to see your collection firsthand when i come sometime to Coimbatore especially the Brit bikes. I am so much in awe of those Brit beauties and would like to own one sometime when i can afford one.U have your own collection of them! Right now i am happy with my Bullet that i bought brand new in 2009 which i will never part with. I have a small doubt here. could you tell me the exact model of the Amal carb that came with the initial Bullets that were assembled in India, was it a Pre-monobloc or a monobloc? I suppose the concentric one came later? was it 24 mm or 26 mm or even bigger?(pardon my ignorance here)also could you specify the jet sizes for the same? hope to meet you sometime. Please do restore more Brits so that we enthusiasts can drool over it!
Regards.
