The Official Trivandrum Offline meet(G2G) thread

Quote:
Since the tri state yercaud ride happened in the first half of ’10, June to be precise, we were longing to have another similar meet up with all the xbhp members in Kerala and get acquainted and interact with them all as most of the guys are only display pics for many. The discussions went on and the destination was finalized as ‘Munnar’ and what made it even more memorable was it kick started our glorious journey into 2011 with the fresh smell of tea and the sweet smell of burning rubber on the butter smooth tarmac on the sexy curves of munnar. The 3 day ride was insanely fun with ripping the highways, cornering like hell on the twisties and offroading inside sholayar forest, with the 21 bikes.
There were 8 riders from Trivandrum when we started the journey early morning on day 1 while the rest of the 3 guys joined us at munnar the next day morning. We then joined with the rest of the 10 guys there at cochin after lunch and headed off to munnar and straightaway crashed onto bed after the treacherous ride for more than 10 hours. Day 2 on the itinerary was the day of raid de munnar by kerala xbhpians. Thanks to Praveen Mathew for guiding us to the unexplored forests of sholayar and some other awesome places. The best part was the offroading through dense jungles for 9 long kms in pure jeep trail, praying no animal jumps in front of us ! The way ninja crossed the barriers indeed will surprise anyone and will cause heart attack for the Kawasaki engineers. Thank God we crossed it without any problems apart from some forest officials with whom we dealt with and we were greeted by the mesmerizing views of hills and sunset which cannot be expressed in just words but alas, the cameras were all set to capture it. The joy of the riders knew no bounds when we saw a patch of road after the hardcore offriding it was all ripping through the silky smooth roads without any stops coz the officials told a herd of elephants are out and asked us to move forward quickly. En route, Uday had a small fall while but the riding gears saved him without a scratch on his body! Sreenath, Jayamohan, and Jay left that night itself as they wanted to spend the Sunday with family. Sreenath requires a special mention here coz he rode continuously the previous night to reach munnar after office and rode with us the whole day and then rode the whole night back to Trivandrum totaling more than 30hours. We missed his Classic 350 on the hills as it was having some serious issues but thanks a lot to our member Tintu for lending him his R15 to him for the trip as he is out of town. He added value to the brotherhood this biking community has created among the members who were once totally strangers!! After a long night, the return ride on the 3rd day was full of surprises . We started before noon so as to reach back by nightfall but as soon as we reached the foothills in record time, there seemed to be some engine problem in Lijo’s bike. But we moved forward slowly with breaks every 1 hour and Binoy’s FZ had a puncture at 9PM, luckily there was a gas station nearby and lijo had puncture repair kit. We fixed it and started our journey but it gave up immediately. Hence he decided to stay overnight with Praveen and Lijo and come back after rectifying it next day. Finally the rest of us rode back and reached home 2 hours past midnight marking an end to 14 hours of an adventurous 350 kms ride, but the official end to the g2g was marked with the arrival of Lijo with a heavy heart and busted engine on the day 4.
It was an Epic ride though all the members couldn’t make it, it was hell lot of fun. Now let the pictures of Ranjith, Uday, Sreenath, Noel,Sreejith, Arun mesmerize you guys .
