Calling all Biker Bros, its time for our Annual Independence day Ride.

As its on a Monday many might have long weekend plans too, thus starting the thread in advance.

I would recommend a half a day ride that starts Early, by say 6:00 am from Bangalore, attend flag hoisting en-route, have Breakfast at a highway hotel, take some G2G lineup snaps at open space & ride to a NGO, meet the children make a small donation (may be Match your cc) and call it a day before lunch.

We can use the thread for deciding the location, I am suggesting Nandi Hills side.

As usual any one can join as long as they obey rules listed below:

1. Formation ride NO overtaking
2. Flag on Each Bike a Must
3. Have Safety gear & bike documents.
4. Cruse at low speeds

We also need suggestions for his years T-Shirts, also Volunteers to make them, last time T creation was a wonderful job.

I will arrange for all the flags Poles & clips / tags.

Suggesting that the Theme could be to Promote Peace & condemn terrorism

So let the Ideas & Conformations flow in.

i am not sure of this one ...

a suggestion , plz take care not to visit towards Nandi hills or Airport road , below are the some reasons

1. lot of ppl will be heading to Nandi hills will be problem for parking and very much crowded
2. there will be lot of political activity on Airport road due to dignitaries/politicians/officials visiting/leaving b'lore on I-Day occasion
3. There is a chance that u might get harassed by cops as there will be 3 to 5 times more cops on that day and especially on that route

find a place which is calm and not too crowded , should have large area to park many bikes/cars

^^Yes, Nandi might be problematic. Guess its better to see the actual turnout and then decide the place.

Will have to miss this one, else would have made it 3 in a row.

Since it will be a considerably large group, I'd suggest to ride out to a destination with less traffic enroute. Nandi Hills seems to be a strict no due to it being a public holiday, & lot of youngsters heading that side.

Maybe something towards Tumkur or Kolar. The roads that side are great as well.

Do not worry about cops, we are not committing a crime by participating in a I-Day Ride. As we plan to leave early say by 6:00 AM, not many will be on the roads including the feared cops & or VVIP traffic.

I am very much open to other destinations, but it needs to be one with less traffic, and at least 2 lanes so we can take up one lane & still not cause congestion.

Surprised to see so less confirmations!! Looks like the good old days are Gone
