Good to see u back sneh
.Ridding gear is damn important, one thing u can rely on @ 7000 rmp. Last time on the malshej g2g, Kunal was also back on his feel because of the gear . Hope u get ur bike on the stand & on back on road soon.

Loads of posts after my last visit to this thread today morning.....
Sneh, its nice to see you here. Its good that you came out unhurt, but damn those gaav walas.... they should be kicked in the *** bigtime..... we literally felt helpless when one of us was being dragged and beaten...... we had to run like scared dogs man.... really sad !!! Investing in good Riding gear is never a waste..... we all should wear protective gear.... the bike can be repaired in 7-10 days with the insurance amount and something from the pocket.... but the scratches on Sneh's armour/protective gear could have happened on his body.... blood and fractures n all.... just think..... touch wood !!! Hope to see more people investing in proper riding gear.

I can relate to your feelings as i often have faced this. I commute between Mumbai and Pune every weekend. YES ! Every Weekend and sometimes more than once every weekend, and i do come across these smart chaps who often will be triple seat, will turn without showing signal/indicator and stand in the middle of the road chatting with god knows who all. The truckers are no less. But then we must understand that its the HIGHWAY which runs through their private territory and it is the government's responsibility to educate these villagers on understanding HIGHWAY discipline and etiquette. Sometimes they do take precautionary measure but mostly use the Highway as a playground. I suggest we only need to be careful of them while riding. The FLIP side of this is that often i have been helped by these villagers only. In case you flip or skid and fall many a times its these wandering villagers who not only may come to your help but often even take you to the closest hospital if they see its not your mistake and that you are asking them for help. Both sides said and done its definitely a mixed bag of feelings. My personal observation a couple of weeks back - I saw 4 People (May be XBHPians May Not Be !!) Racing on the Highway between Khopoli and Panvel riding towards Mumbai on a Black Karizma and a Black Pulsar 200. Yes they were all wearing helmets but were riding very dangerously in the rains. I did show them that a single seat ride can out manouvre them anytime but i was not interested in racing. I hope these arent the kind of guys we have in XBHP who use public roads as a means of irrespinsible ruckus and endanger their as well as others lives in the process. having ridden on this same road years agon with Sunny and Bunny during the GIR i am sure we do treat this stretch of tarmac as holy arean for us to work and play equally. Cheers PPS
