All the discussions about Mumbai G2G will be discussed here.(Mum-Pune ride/G2G discussions can be discussed here as well)

The latest ride that happened yesterday (21st Sep08), Mumbai-Pune Lavasa ride in Pune.

Short Log:
"The ride was awesome, 4 guys from Mumbai (Me, Motorbreath, Shannon and his friend Aron), and 4 guys from Pune (Inder, Niranjan, Ritwik, Sneh).....

The ride had its own goodies and baddies, we had Sneh riding a R15 who crashed and smashed into a Santro..... and then series of GW (read gaonwala(village ppl)) incidents right from getting a bit beaten by them, to paying them huge expense amounts came as horrifying happenings. The main issue was we did not have Sneh's mobile number and hence could not contact him, he was taken away by the Santo wala.... ppl with sticks/rods had come..... so the rest of us had to leave the place that very instance. We went to the police .... but they could not help us much..... later near the accident place we met Sneh who managed to get his friends ... and got his bike back. He is safe and sound, they took away his tank bag which had the original bike papers...... so thats the big catch. I really feel sorry for him. The bike has some major injuries.. faring gone, mirror gone..

Otherwise the ride was awesome ... starting from Mumbai... at around 8:30am..... to reaching Pune at 11am was fun..... proper formation, no ripping. Met up with Pune guys in chandni chowk CCD (as usual :-)), started riding towards Lavasa.... and trust me,.. Lavasa has the bestest of the best roads.. every biker's paradise (its also very risky there).... we were like leaning to the max at 60-65kmph.... (as Niranjan's 220 is still in running-in). Clicked some pics from Niranjan's cam, which should be up by today or tomorrow eve on his orkut album.

We parted in the evening when Sannon and his friend were getting late as it was getting dark, so they left. Me and Motorbreath left Pune guys from CCD at 5:30pm..... reached Lonavala by 6:30pm.. by then it was almost dark, and only a HID should be used during night rides... even the 220 lights felt underpowered (I need to get focussing of the lights corrected), I reached home at 8pm, Motor reached at 9pm. Everybody else reached home safely. So that ends the summary of the ride."

The next ride is planned to be on 5th Oct '08, Lonavala Amby Valley, where we need to discuss some major things above tackling any kind of casualties while riding in the twisty roads. So we need more and more involvement from both the cities.

So I guess a week after that! (may be on a new bike as well :P )

Damn! BTW Who is Sneh...? I dont seem to recollect him on the mumbai thread

Do you have the Santro Guys Registeration/Phone number? It might be a nice idea to contact him, maybe he would have taken the documents!

Satyen, the satro vala didn't take the papers....instead the local village ppl there took the tank bag(in which all papers were present) and ran away from there...!!

We also met Sneh for the very first time on this ride..!! and he was telling that he is on xBhp with the id snehmads..!!

So he cant do nything for the papers now?

He has to make duplicate ones. Are tank bags tht loose tht nyone can pull & run with steal them. (I knw the situation there was a bit diff)

Ya COS, he will have to make duplicate ones.....and wich may take some 1 or 2 months and till that time he cannot claim for the damages also...!!

Tank bags are pretty tightly stuck on the tank bcoz of the powerful magnets but what must have happened was that some 3-4 guys collectively would have done that...!!

Hi everyone,
It was definitely the most horrible day of my life but the luckest one also, at the same time. Came out almost unscratched, thanks to the riding gears. Guys, please do spend some money on the expensive stuff. Yoe need to have a look at the scratches at my gloves, knee guards, jacket & helmet. Impact was so high that R15 profile got embossed on the side of the car

Yes, i am having a tough time to get the dupicate papers. yesterday i went to nearby chowki to lodge a report. Intially the cop asked me to bring some witness then he looked down and asked for 1000 bucks. I straightway left the place. today i am going to a different police station with an influential uncle ( really hate to use 'tedhi ungli' but this time i have resigned as i dont find any other solution).
Spares are rare sight at Yamaha showroom and will take more than 10 days.
Its a matter of few days and i will be baclk with you guys and wll try my best not to spoil yet another day.
Thanks guys for putting in so much efforts. I will never forget.
