Thanks MG for the new thread.... I was just going to post the full details on the earlier thread itself
![]() -------------------------------------------------- Contact numbers: anup_abraham (9819479740) Fuel costs should not exceed Rs.600, considering a distance of 400km (approx) and milage of 40kmpl (approx). If possible please fuel up your bikes while you reach the final meetup point. Total expenses: 1000rs (fuel+food+timepass) approx Riding Guidelines (to be strictly followed) 1) While riding in a formation, each rider is supposed to "follow tail" at a safe distance. Cruisin speed on the highway would be between 70-75 km/hr. Anyone who does not wish to stick to this can stay out of this meet. 2) A distance of at least 2 seconds has to be maintained between two riders. How to measure this will be told at the meetin point. 3) All new people on the ride need to follow the formation in a position that is allocated to them by the leader 4) Since the ride is a one-day ride, all participants are requested to honour time. All participants are requested to arrive at the meetin point at least 10 minutes earlier. The convoy will wait for no longer than 5 minutes post the announced time. 5) Riders who will not follow the group rules will be warned the first time round and in case the same thing is repeated, he would be disallowed from attending any xBhp group rides. 6) All are requested to co-operate and co-ordinate for making this ride a success. --------------------------------------------------- As Mr. Anup says.... everything should be on schedule..... I guess all of you know what all to be taken care of.... @All: I dont know if am 100% inn..... my parents still dont know about it... and am waiting for a good time to seek permission from them. One day ride? It will be bit hectic. I am a regular traveller to Harihareshwar. The NH17 is bit tiring and boring, not at all comparable to the beautiful NH4 (mumbai pune). Roads are very beautiful after you take the right turn at Maangaon for Sai Ghat. They were once in the worst possible condition, but now till Mhasala, they are pure bliss. Afterwards from Mhasala till Harihareshwar, there is nothing to write home about. There is one Swami Samarth temple newly opened up on route, after 10kms from Mhasala. You may want to check it.
My friendly suggestion will be to try the Shekhadi route if possible. When you leave harihareshwar, rather than coming the same way back, go to shrivardhan, then ask for Shekhadi Marg to Dive agar. That road is a terrific road, with non-pulluted, non crowded beach on left side and trees on the right side. All the best for your ride. I am going there next month, so I can use your fresh experience of conditions of roads. |
