@Praveen: It would be great if you can provide some info about the orphanage. To be precise, I want to know the exact number of children and age group. This would help us in the gift/dress and on how many kgs of sweets we would require. Thanks!

I will get cash alone. Final contribution yet to decide, but tentatively something around 600 bucks. BTW yes Praveen, I would like to know more about the orphanage. Am not interested to give to already very popular ones like Sivananda or Udhavum ullangal etc. They already get LOTS of donations, especially during this time.

You folks are right. We are not focussing on the popular ones that get good amounts of donations. The idea struck us late last night and are still on the lookout for an orphanage. We have pretty much cornered in on one, that is close to Pondy on the ECR with 30-35 children. That is the target strength that we will be able to support. When we confirm the plan with them, I shall definitely post. Until then, please bear with me. Thanks!
