They say a there is nothing better for a biker than a early morning ride with the cool wind nipping the biker, roads devoid of any kind of traffic for as long as eyes can see, and a motor in between the legs just waiting for the power to be tapped by the rider!

Well, everything said above was true for today's ride g2g, except may be for the 'traffic-less road' part..As usual, we all met at the xBhp lane (Chanakyapuri) at the designated time. It was a really nostalgic moment as I seriously do not quite remember the last time I went to the xBhp lane for a g2g. Slowly, the bikers started to "pour in" and the head count stood at about 15 bikes in total. We also had one couple today who graced us with their presence (dcs & his GF. Thanks for coming you two. ).

After the usual meet and greet session, a few pictures were clicked. Finally, after about fifteen minutes past eight or so, it was unanimously decided that the group should head towards the destination - the Mc.Donald's fast food restaurant at Manesar on the National Highway - 8, about 50 odd kilometres from the lane.

Riding sanely (well, almost everyone, for the most part), we all reached Manesar Mc.D where, to our surprise, the Jaipur riders (Old Fox, Sunny & Manan) were already relaxing inside the restaurant while their beasts were resting in the parking lot under a nice shade. After gawking at the Castrol painted R1, the black R1 and the nice looking Castrol painted R15, we headed inside where we met the riders of these beasts.

It was here that I met Old Fox for the first time, but I somehow, strangely (or otherwise!) felt really familiar introducing myself to him. He is a really nice guy, or so it seems.. Met the other riders - Sunny & Manan (who, by the way looked no less than an RPF jawaan minus the gun!) Had the usual dose of junk food, followed by some photo clicks. Finally, after clicking a couple of pictures of the whole group at the parking lot, the members dispersed from Manesar.

It was a real nice, refreshing get-together after the innumerable trips (almost every week) to the dhaba. Although I am sure, the dhaba G2Gs are loved and adored by many of us (including me), but a shortish ride like we had today helps to break the shackles every now and then. To add to it all, the weather these days is just terrific as far as bikers are concerned..

Got to meet some of the regular members as well as many new members. It was as usual fun, meeting Leon, B2L, Ravi, L.P and others.

@dcs: It was real nice meeting you and your lady. If possible, do join in the forthcoming G2Gs as well, and I can assure your girl wouldn't feel "left out", for sure.

@Sunny, OF, Manan: Congratulations for completing the run-in ride of the beasts (and yes, that includes the comparatively puny R15 too..) It was real nice meeting you guys.

I personally loved meeting OF (Old Fox). You seem to be a real nice guy sir, would love to have more meetings with you, if possible. Thanks!

@swiftrider & B2L: Loved the meeting.. B2L, I hope you are now familiar with the 400D.. And, once again, both of you - Congratulations for getting Leh'd!

@RX: It was lovely meeting you for the first time, although I seriously think you should change your User ID to something more 'logical'; like, perhaps - RX-220 or something!

@all: Thanks for making the get-together a success, and for riding without any kind of mishaps all the way and back.

Thanks,
-Aryan

P.S:
The pictures would be posted shortly. Thanks for your patience.

Aah thanks for the writeup Aryan. When I reached back I was not in a position to write anything but directly hit my bed .

I got up today earlier than my normal routine with snoozing my alarm twice and my spine begging for more rest. Me & dcs came together. It was nice feeling to know someone from my area in fbd actually is a member of xBhp. The morning ride to the lane was cool. As Aryan said, (lemme scroll up and copy paste) "....cool wind nipping the biker...". But, yeah the traffic was a little more than the usual today. We reached the xBhp lane to find quite a lot of members already present and had the normal pre-ride bakad session. Thankfully the group was riding at a good speed, not too fast not too slow (correct me if I am wrong ).

After reaching the McD (I was about to write Dhaba ) we found the Jaipur babes already there. We then went in to meet the Trio - Sunny "Valentino" Gajjar, Old "Forever Young" Fox and Manan "Bakhtarband" Chaturvedi. We then had the McD "teevra bhojan". Ravi bhai displayed some of his skills in the kids section and inspired quite a few people . And had a surprise final moment entry from crazy_dj. Finally we dispersed towards our respective destination.

It was nice meeting everyone especially dsc, ms. dcs, swiftrider, rx, kunjal singh, sherry, oldfox and sunny along ravi, lp, aryan, b2l, manan, crazy_dj......and everyone (sorry but will start to get eveyone's name gradually after every g2g) . It is good to see the kind of response we get these days for G2Gs.

Now, waiting for the pics.

Aryan, Leon :- superb write ups....

Well the a G2G today morning was fantabulous.......the turn out was decent, loads of junta actually woke up this sunday morning and made it to the lane.It was a beginning of sorts...with a biker couple making it to the Lane. great to have u folks ,hope u had a good time.

Me n L.P. got to the xBHP lane by around 7:25 am , meeting up with Aryan and a bit of chit chat was pretty good.

Aryan had his 400 D and clicked some marvellous pics. Then B2L and swift rider and gang made it,and the biker ghetto's paradigm shifted to getting Leh'ied.Next came Kunjal and Burnout King, who was looking quite a rapper today...Kunjal's FZ16 was the next showstealer, with every1 crowding in to have a sneak peak at the new Lord of the Streets....

At 8 am by a group consensus..we all decided to proceed to the Manesar McDonald's.

Ravi Bhai showed some good samaritanism by leading the pack. This was specially good for some of the junta who werent well versed with the route.Me being very lucky to have the radar sharp guidance of L.P.

Initially we had the open roads all to us, but surprisingly when we got to the toll road, there were a lot of truckies around. The good thing was every1 was looking out for each other , emphasising the brotherhood of bikers, this was a a great thing that came to the fore in today's ride, lot of formation riding today, interspersed by short drags and each rider coming out to the front of the pack and then falling back again.B2L and swiftrider got some neat pics on the way while riding [ guys please put up the pictures as soon as u can].

Sherry and drift king were formed our core, they rode consistently in formation which was a great spectacle to watch. When we got to gurgaon it was a great feeling to ride together as xBHP group, the sense of pride is just inexpressible, has to be felt.
It was almost 9 am when to got to the Manesar McDonald's.The best thing when we got there being the awe u get from onlookers[ a mixture of fear with a tinge of jealousy and at times pure admiration.]....not that i believe in show off and snobbery.

And lo to our surprise we see 2 R1's and a R15 [we actually mistook the R15 for an R1] one R15 and R1 being painted in the all new Castrol Colour scheme. The all black Yamaha R1 was as usual standing out. These machines have got panache for one thing. The Road presence is surreal. We already knew that Sunny ,Old Fox[ sirji you id is quite a misnomer, you are one of the most engertic people in the G2G] and Manan had made it before we had which was quite early considering the fact that they were riding all the way from Jaipur [ Running in the new black R1 ].Meeting up with them was great, i think for a second, other folks present there might have actually mistook the whole thing for a gang war of some kind ..

Well soon after all of us had finished with the intros and the round of handshakes followed [ sorry guys please forgive me , for i remember quite a few people by face , but not names ], the moment was apt for some entertainment with Sunny showing us a Slideshow of the Jaipur pics.Sunny had a totally new look today, quite different from the last time.

The Jaipur Pics were kool especially the ones which had the shadow effect with the sun in the background.Manan was sporting a Bullet proof vest and looked straight out of the special forces with all the camouflage pants et al.
A quick round of Mc D's fast food followed, and us being really hungry from the morning ride gobbled up stuff and before we knew it was 11 am.

But before we left we got to see some really kool stoppies on the FZ16...apologies for not recollecting the name of the dude..... but it was really kewl bro..

A quick few pics later , we headed back to our destinations..Sunny n co were trailing , but when they got past us, we could barely do anything but wave...the heavy sound of R1's engines zapped past our ears.

All in all today's G2G was a great turn out event , the emphasis on watching out for each other.C u all soon in the next G2G.

Ride SAfe and a very Happy n safe Diwali to all of u xBHPian's

Ciao..
