Btw.... am still thinking about the purpose this rally/ride serves..... coz I dont see any kind of awareness thing happening with this stuff (or any AIDS awareness thing.. ppl know everything already now-a-days).... just my opinion.
Also the timings that are set for this rally.... 3pm-6pm... the traffic would be quite f**kedup, and 30-50 bikes going slow in traffic... wud be a pain in the butt for fellow road users.

PS: No offence meant to/towards anybody/anything.... have a great rally.... ride safe.

Yeah, exactly! Are we doing anything on the lines of funding or supporting any hospital/clinic/ etc. ??? Cause otherwise we'd all just be riding and pleasing our ownselves in the process..forgive my ignorance as i haven't been on any Aid's Day ride before..Vijay bro! could you please shed some light on the same??

Allow me please. People across the world do ride for charities supporting a cause. People do rallies to support a cause.

Now what does supporting a cause mean?

It means endorsing the cause and spreading awareness.

How do you spread awareness?

By doing something which makes people standup and notice and attaching the cause to it.

Bikers ride to support a cause, politicians speak, news channels run news or free ads.

I hope it is clear now.

I agree wid u sunny.
Rallying is definitely a support for the cause

If we get some T-shirt or a common porter on each bike or the biker related to AIDS.This will give a more clear message.otherwise it will give the msg of just another Bikers rally.

@kashif: yes we can. But arranging for the ride itself is taking up a lot of logistics. We can definitely just visit some other time.

This ride will be on World AIDS day, hence the main objective, a supporting objective would be - riding safe.

Got your point... but am still not convinced.... a rally to make people know about Aids... is something being done for long now, and everyone knows everything about Aids....

We need to tell the down-trodden people of the society to get up and take notice about the causes/cases of Aids. By doing a rally at some of the high-class places of Mumbai.... sounds a bit wierd.. doesn't it ?? Do it where these(the spread of Aids) things happen most....

I am saying this coz, when I told my dad about we (at xBhp) doing a rally supporting a cause, he asked me whats the use or awareness we are spreading ? To this I was put into thoughts, I guess you understand what I mean. Am feeling like its more of self-convincing rally/ride... more of show-off thing (am no way offending anybody ok).

Who will benefit by this, thats what I am asking . Is it just another photoshoot with the help of traffic police or helping somebody about something.

PS: No offence.... just my opinion and doubts.... hope you understand.
