Default Hyderabad-An off-roading G2G in the hills

This happened on November 9th.
The following write-up is from BOO.

The riders:
Ravi (Ravi@17bhp) on Read Zma.
Ravi Kiran (caravikiran) on Blue P220.
Raghu (BOO) riding KP's Blue R-15.
Krishna Prasad (KP) (HydBiker) pillion to me.
Satish aka Radhakrishnan aka ghost rider (onlinesatish) on his Black RTR.

meeting
We had an amazing day yesterday. I asked ravikiran or kp(hydbiker) to pick me up from home which is very near to the meeting point. everyone gave me a wakeup call at 5:30. wokeup got ready and by 6:10 kp and ravikiran were at my home. I got onto the r-15 and after 4 months riding a bike really felt gooooood. ravikiran and kp followed me till the rally point.

rally point
by the time we reached the petrol pump, yaser and satish were there. since the r-15 had a bent rear mag, it was loosing out air slowly. I filled the rear upto 37 and we wasted a lot of time there chitchatting. after that we started our ride. yaser said bye bye to use and he left home.

breakfast
We went nonstop till chevella, there we had our breakfast. I ate lot of puris and two cups of coffe.
after the breakfast we checked the air again, it was down to 6psi. so found anther tyre repair shop where we filled air again and then I blasted off. I was doing some 120 and satish who was chasing me was honking like crazy. I thought some might have left behind and slowed down. the moment I was like at 30 I started feeling slight wobble. When I stopped and looked at the rear. I was actually was riding with a flat tyre. we stopped and every one came. after some close inspection we found that now the mag has two bends and the second was very huge and developed a crack.

the repair
since I was little heavy, satish took the r-15 and started riding slowly back to where we filled the air. we got to the same shop and arranged the bike on tyres since its got no center stand. then opened up the rear. ravi went ahead to get a 17" tube. It took a while and some scratches on the mag to open the tyre and put a tube into it.

journey again
after the patch-up we were like shall we go back or continue. kp and ravi assured us and hit the continue button.
we went to our off roading place. unlike earlier, it was little hot and dusty. ravikiran's michellin cirac found a lot of grip on that dusty roads and we could see him gleeming with happyness.
We found a nice place to stop and we sat down and started eating fruits. ravi and ravikiran wanted more off roading. they left to do some scouting. after a while we get a call from ravi that they found a nice place ahead. we get directions on how to manage the bike on that particularly challenging part of the terrain and we head towards that place.

after some careful riding we are at a place where there is a big baniyan tree, a small stream with ice cold water flowing.

we cross the stream and get on to the tree, play for some time and start our return journey.

while climbing the uphill I managed to struck the r-15 into the rocks and it takes me and ravi and some muscle power of ravikiran's to get it out.

lunch
we head from that place towards vikarabad and go to a dhaba where we got tasty chicken. I get a beer and ravi gets a breezer while our order is processed.

we eat till we explode.

return
now after food, I get onto ravi's zma and we head back to city. return ride is little boring. since we did like 70+ kms without even moving a little inch, when we were back at that petrol bunk, I wasnt able to feel my butt.

after this, ravi gets red bulls for all and then all the others leave and kp and me go to my place.

PS: I burned all the photos and gave them to kp. my job is over.
PPS: the log may sound boring because I cant explain the fun we had in simple english.

Two teasers...

Not really...R15 never had any trouble. It was as good as the RTR(if not as the Zma or P220) even with a heavily cracked rear mag with a 90/90 tube

Few pics from my side!

Ravikiran's Pee220 with a rear tractor tye and a punny front tyre

RSA's angel inspecting the damaged R15 alloy!

A SBK mechanic we found just after chevella,:P damage to the alloys is clearly visible!

Who say's that R15 does'nt come with a centre stand?
