Default XBHP is not all about Biking. Its about social resposibility as well

Hi All... We had a G2G last month... And XBHP proved once again that its not about only biking... But its about responsibility as well...

Posting a text written by online satish.... Thanks man... Thanks to priyanka as well who made this happen out of no where...

Once the drags and Stoppie's sessions were over , Yachnit and Sam had to leave as they were getting constant calls from their home. We all were hungry(this was supposed to be a breakfast meet is'nt it?) and off we goto find some good hotel. Yaser bhai and others started searching for a good irani hotel for Yummy paya and roti's. But to our bad luck all the hotels had stopped serving them as it was already past 10.30am. We almost spent 1 hour searching for the hotel. Finally we went to the same hotel at masab tank where we had breakfast the lasttime we had drags.Pundrick left us at Mehndipatnam for home.

Went there and parked the bike. I parked mine beside Harsha's R15. On curious guy at the hotel was very excited on seeing the R15 and started shooting lot of question abt the bike. Told him everything abt the bike. He asked abt xBhp after seeing the logo in all our bikes. Explained him abt xbhp. By the time am done everyone went missing. They had already gone up to munch. Placed our orders and the chit chatting session begins. We also checked out the pics.

30mins past and our food is yet to come. Finally there were some sightings of idlies.....30mins just for idlies....we had ordered dosa's and poori's too wonder how much time would tht take. Another 15mins had passed and still no signs of dosa's and poori's while he serves other ppl who had come after us. Kriss lost his cool and the poor waiter got a piece of his anger Then came our food.

While we munched Priyanka(final year MBBS in a collage which can also be called as a freakin jail) and Harsha (doctor at GH) asked us why not donate blood today? we all agreed without any thought. It was decided that Riaz and Chow would donate blood only when needed as they had a rare blood group. While myself and prawyn were barred from donating as we were the most tough guys around.....we both weighed around 52kgs!. Breakfast over, bill settled and we come out.

Riaz and chow start for their home while Kriss, priyanka, harsha, prawyn, yaser bhai, ravikiran and myself head towards the hospital for blood donation. Myself and ravikiran started at last and we did'nt know which hospital we were heading. We lost the group in the next signal. Called up prawyn who asked us to come to "Indo American Cancer Institue and research Centre" near KBR park. We head there.

Priyanka and harsha told us that there was one boy (prasad i believe) who was having Blood cancer(correct me if am wrong guys). The estimation for his treatment was around 10lakhs. We def cant do so much but can do watever we can. Priyanka and Harsha spoke to the father of prasad. They were in immediate need of B+ve blood or rather blood platelets alone to be transfused to him. A bottle of blood costs 1000bucks but only the platelets had to be tranfused. The process of accuring only the platelets alone from the blood costs another 9000rs and this transfusion had to be one on a regular basis.

Kriss, Ravikiran, Yaser bhai, Priyanka and Harsha were ready to donate blood. But only Ravikiran was B+ve. He was asked to donate that day and Kriss and yaser bhai would be called upon whenever required. Harsha aslo donated blood that day.

Priyanka was the president of Students Accossiation / Union in her collage. She took up the responsibility to collect some money / donation watever the students could contibute for Prasad. She expected around 80,000rs to 1lakh rs. This was a excellent thought. Hats off rather helmets off to her

While we waited outside Kriss and priyanka told us abt the pathetic state of hospitals and medical practices which are against the basic rules. There was numerous example which she gave. Few of them were really really shocking.

Ravikiran and harsha were called for the blood donation. Harsha, ravikiran and prawyn go for it while me, kriss and yaser bhai go outside and relaxed at the parking lot. Priyanka came there after sometime. Kriss was telling me how rude/arrogant he used to be back in his collage days....it was funny listening to few of the incident. esp the way he caught hold of a guy who was chatting with him as a girllol!

Yaser bhai left as it was late for him. Harsha came out after giving some blood. He too left as he had to go out with his family. Ravikran and prawyn were still inside. Meanwhile there was a small kid might be 8-10 yrs old playing around with all our bikes. Later we found out the he had some cancer at this age. We could see a huge hump in his neck.. Felt really sorry for the boy. He was playing around happily without having any knowledge abt the kind off disease he's carrying He was even hitting my bike with a stick. I did'nt feel anything if it would have been someone else i would have just punched him on his face and get him replaced the damaged part. but did'nt feel anything this time.

Ravikiran and prawyn came out after abt 1 1/2 hrs. prawyn in the meanwhile seemed to have fun with one of the nurse inside who was very rude with all the patiance. Prawyn is just brilliant in handleing these kind of person's.

Prasad's Dad also had come outside to see all of us. We promised him we would turn up whenever he required blood. Prawyn donated 3000rs for prasad....kind of him. We all dispersed after speaking to his father for sometime.

I felt really satisfied to have done something good that day even though i did'nt donate/contribute anything. We had atleast done something useful that day rather than just satisfying ourselves with biking. I feel good even now think of it! We did some good thing from our personal side and from Xbhp too.

Am proud to have been a part of it esp xbhp!

Topic Approved.

This proves that xBhp is indeed more than just motorcycling or as people call it - biking. Thanks for sharing this with us Kriss.

Yes we are late... But still... its up now..

It was so sad to see the patient... who's another kid..i mean aged some 21 i guess... Who is always an active student in his college days who used to organise blood donation camps in his college. He would have never imagined that he would be in such a situation today. But still its life...have to go on...

This was a great initiative. Indeed we should be all proud that members like you all exist within our club. Very inspirational, xBhp Delhi will try and do something on the same lines, thanks to you all.
