Agenda - We will be meeting at OF's 'hut and then start the G2G with our regular 'classes', which will be followed by some wonderful and sumptuous barbeque "session".

The Eats:: OF has got a BBQ gril. So, we can have seekh kababs (for the jogi's) and paneer tikkas (for the yogi's) along with romali rotis and salad.

The Contribution: Should come to somewhere between 100-125 per head. The higher side is for a full lunch. If it turns out less, the remaining money remains as a reserve pool for next time.

Head Count:Please post your confirmations in this thread as soon as possible. Also post whether you would like vegetarian or non-vegetarian food. That would help us to arrange for the food, accordingly.

NOTE:
No cancellations after Saturday afternoon i.e. 1500hrs onwards, please. The stuff will be ordered accordingly.

Directions to reach the destination -

1. From Atta Chowk: When coming from Delhi you hit Atta Chowk. Continue straight past Noida DPS, NTPC and Shopprix Mall. Just beyond the Shopprix Mall take left. Carry on straight till you see an Indial Oil petrol pump on your left. There is a cut in the road divider bang opposite the petrol pump. Turn right from there. Continue straight again till you get to a T-point. On your right will be a company called 'Steria'. On your left would be 'Writer's Hut' [destination for the G2G].

2. When coming from the DND: Descend the DND till you get to Rajnigandha Chowk red light. Carry on straight, past any number of red-lights and diversions till you get to a T-point in the end. Grey flats can be seen head-on here. Take right and ride past two red-lights. Past the second signal, on your right will be the petrol pump I wrote about in the above point. Take left and ride on till the T-point. Steria on the right and Writer's Hut on the left. (appox dist from Rajnigandha Chowk to T-point - about 3 kms).

Phew! I somehow am TOTALLY lost there.

1.I WILL need a helping hand to reach.
2.I am a voracious meat eater.
3.I am not sure if I will make it since I have some serious other matters to attend to. But I still want to come. And I will get to know only on Sunday morning.

This leads to the following questions:

1.Does that mean that I will have to pay retention even if I cannot make it?
2.Will you let me in if I come in late?
3.Will I get to eat if I do not confirm and still come?

I am sorry to make this so Damn complicated for you guys.

Ps; I am salivating at the very thought of BBQ!

Since, by your own admission, you are a voracious meat eater, admitting you late would surely deprive someone else of his kababs.

It is not THAT tightly structured Ken. Your questions almost make it seem like a meet of the G8 at the Ritz. In your case, knowing the reasons for your uncertainty, let us know on Sunday morning itself. The most we'll expect of you is to pick up a pound or two of kababs on your way in.

Relevant points there by Ken though. it is actually a matter of being considerate. Arrangements for eating like this need time. And of course money. Those who don't confirm and come will dig into the share of those who confirmed. And those who confirm and don't turn up...and so don't pay as a consequence...load up the others with the expense already made. The money is not SO BIG a deal here but lets try and be decisive. Paying retention goes negative on camaraderie. Lets make sure it doesn't come to that.


..and if the fibres still don't suffice..then those ^ 'spare ribs' will always come in handy.

Actually rib-poking aside, I really do not want to miss the class. And if I confirm late, I will try to pick up the comestibles myself. Hope the embers will still be glowing...
