Default Junta ride - feb 2009

Hello ppl

2 choices : A) Halebidu-belur B) Puttaparthi

Edit: Location Confirmed - Halebidu-Belur

This ride is scheduled on Sunday, the 22nd of february. It'll be a single day ride from morning to evening.

Rules and regulations:

The following items are mandatory for both the rider (and pillion):

Valid permanent license
Vehicle documents (RC Book & Emission Certificate). Both number plates should be legible
Helmet
Shoes
Riding pants or any tough material such as jeans
Riding jacket or ordinary jacket
Gloves (If available)

In simple terms .. no exposure of skin (and no .. a burkha won't do)

Kindly try to carry/ensure the following

Valid first aid kit
Band-aid/ bandages and cotton
Tow rope
puncture repair kit + compressor
Glucose

As this is a group ride everyone is needed to follow all rules for formation driving. No overtaking or unsafe riding as part of the group. Anyone exhibiting such trends will immediately be disallowed from riding with the group and will have to continue alone.

Not going there for any spiritual-religious reason. At least not me as I am completely indifferent to the stuff.

Puttaparthi is a nice small global village type of place.
halebidu-belur has awesome architectural value. Simply superb stuff. (Shravana-Belagola is also on the way and can be clubbed depending on the time spent at belur).

Both routes have 80pc of the dist on NH.

The roads are good till Hassan. I dunno about the road condition till Halebid and Belur. Will find out from Professor who went on the same trip a few weeks ago.
