A ride to McLeod Ganj
(Once Again calling all the People who went to chail with us! and many more people who are interested and Guys from Chandigarh and all who can join..)

Date :- 6th - 7th June 2009 (Sat-Sunday).

Time :-4.30.00 AM (i know it's bit early but want to spend the whole day properly, because we have only 2 days to enjoy)

LEAVING TIME :- 5:00 A.M.
WE WILL NOT WAIT FOR LATE COMERS

Meeting Point :- The Same Point What it was for when we All went to Chail (In Front of Monastry, Delhi)

Destination :- McLeod Ganj

TOTAL K.M. :- 450 kms Approx

En-Route: Start From

Delhi - Ambala = 200 km

Ambala - Kharar = 42 km ( after crossing ambala go straight towards Rajpura/ Ludhiana, take right turn 100 mtrs. before toll plaza, go straight for next 30 mins.to reach Kharar)

Kharar - Ropar = 27km ( Turn right from Ropar towards Kiratpur )

Ropar - Kiratpur - Anandpur Sahib - Nangal - Una = 80 km

Una - Amb - Mubarkpur = 36 km

Mubarkpur - Bharwain ( Chintpurni ) - Dehra - Ranital - Kangra = 62 km

Kangra - Dharmsala = 18 km

Roads are good except a 5-7 km strech before Kiratpur

INSTRUCTIONS :-

1) wear helmet during the whole ride.(pillion also)
2) rider must have all the necessary documents i.e. dl,r/c,puc,insurance.
3) no drags , no overtaking.
4) ride in proper group formation.
5)keep ur headlights on and on low beam during the ride.
6)senior members will lead the group so all the other riders will follow them and one member with a good riding experience will sweep, probably some having the most power machine would be asked to sweep, like sir.no1lives4ever said!

Mod's Message:
One last thing that I would like to mention here is if anyone does not have their proper vehicle paper(s) with them, please get it ASAP! It could be the RC, the insurance papers or the PUC certificate. Please make sure everyone has each and every document in place. Before starting off for the ride, each and every document of each riders present should be thoroughly checked and anyone found lacking in any of the above document(s) must be promptly asked to leave. No compromises on that front.

WOW!! you are going to my home place. I am from palampur which is like only 30kms from dharamshala.

I cannot promise my presence for this ride as of now.
I will try my best though. My dad will kill me if he gets to know that I am coming on my bike. Also I have just done a chd trip today on my bike without telling him. Lets See. I will give my best shot.

2 days are not sufficient for such a trip and mcleodganj being such a beutiful place needs a full day to chill out...!

Can it be fri-sat-sun??

Lets Put it that way then... Lets see who all can get that three days..

Rohit: Most of us are working SAT-SUN are good but taking another weekday as a OFF wud be a difficult task..incl Me.. Still we can try... If We go by the planning.. we would br able to reach and cover a lot of distance fast and reach the place before sunset and click!!!

3 days might be a constraint for me,,as my boss would be traveling from 4-7 june,,for 2 days i can manage,,but for 3 days my boss will

My suggestion try to keep it for 2 days ie, saturday-sunday(6-7 june)

I am very much game for three day's hell i can do 4 even, but i NEED to get out of hustle bustle of the city, have had too much work.

We can always do two groups, with the two day group joining next day, and ride back in one big group.

@L.P : what happened to the Rafting plans ??
