This sounds weird & funny.
The media launch of the showroom in Bangalore happened more than 3 weeks back (with coverage in newspapers), & the showroom was doing busniess-as-usual.
& suddenly xBhp comes up with this!!

Was this launch in waiting/ pre-planned for xBhp?

Or did they do a media launch again?

Hey tibby, you can say we were lucky to have caught up with the first ride. And yes the first launch was for the media and this one was a more informal customer launch. And to get the firs HOG ride on the way

When the Bangalore xBhpians told us that there is a Harley Davidson showroom right behind our hotel in Bangalore, i particularly wasn’t too excited about visiting it, thinking that it would be just another superbike showroom, but by the end of the day it turned out that we were lucky to be at the right place and at the right time too. We ended up finding ourselves in the formal inaugural dinner and the first ever HOG ride in South India, which in itself is a big step in the direction of long innings that HD is planning to play in India.
The showroom located near the UB city mall on the Vittal Mallya road is a three-story complex. All the new bikes and the bike accessories have been kept on display for the visitors at the first floor. Second floor has riding gear/apparel sections for both men and women, whereas the bikes will be serviced on the third floor.
Even though it was the formal inauguration for the showroom, we were told by the owner Mr. Srinivas Reddy that they had already sold quite a few motorcycles even before being fully functional and that they were already sold out and would start taking fresh bookings only in January, which itself tells a lot about HD’s impending success in the Indian Bike market.
Though i was not a part of the HOG ride as i was waiting for them at the showroom, but for whatever little time I could see them riding together, it was a wonderful experience. The roar of so many Harleys riding together surely had shaken the hearts of people of Bangalore. After spending some quality time and talking with thee who’s who of Bangalore who were present at the showroom we returned to our room as we had a long day ahead.

I saw the video clip on your FB update yesterday. Nice clip. It was nice seeing so many HD's running all over the area.

With this coverage I hope the HD showroom in Bangalore is officially open and launched.

We rode to the showroom a couple of weeks back (with our ninja's) after a saturday morning ride and they said they weren't open and didnt let us in... but the same evening they were open and were interacting with some phoren aadmi's, i walked in and saw a few models on display.

Paid a visit a few days later and they still were not "officially launched" but were letting people in. Last week, same scene.. still not launched but people were let in.

Wonder why they are so confused whether to launch or not. Most of the bikes there had a "sold" sticker on them. I wonder what their definition of a launch is.

I saw the Fatboy and the huge one with the radio and stuff (cant remember the name). Loved these 2 models for the chrome and paint work respectively. Waiting to see the Night Rod.

Do shoot another video of the HD's in daylight. It'll be quite a sight seeing the reactions of the common man.

P.S. I havent seen their apparel section. The boots and jackets look nice. Will pop in and have a look sometime.
