Positive aspects of the product (pros): Powerfull & reliable. Value for money
Cons: Ground clearance should be more, top end speed could be better & yes its stand touches the ground in a small bumps.

Till now covered 4200 KM. Had done one grand tour http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/tourer/2...-part-1-a.html on my Pulsar 180 & a Tour http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/tourer/2...n-myanmar.html. Had ridden it comfortably in both plain & rough hilly road . It gives a mileage around 35-40 in city & 40-45 in plain highways. Its a superb bike, go for it.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): City level Performance, City level agility, reliability, Value for money, mileage.
Cons: Parts quality low (silencer specially), could've been 6 geared, handling not too sporty, headlight too weak for highways.

I have been a proud owner of 2007 model of Pulsar 180 UG3 since more than 6 years now. I've stunted, toured a maximum of about 580 kms/ day, commuted, rode her up a ladder once, etc. and the bike never let me down. Its very reliable if you take care of it & service it timely.

It responded very favorably to modifications. At a time, I had a K&N RC 1060 filter installed with #125 jet.... And it was dominating the roads like anything. Today, its runs an after market exhaust, and even now, it performs superb.

Its frame is not too good. May rust a bit and the handling is not too good again... On highways, beyond 110 kmph, you can't handle her well as it feels "twitchy" & "unstable".

When it was 8000 kms old, the silencer started losing glasswool, and it lost some performance. At that time, it wouldn't go beyond 110 kmph on speedo.
Some Parts' quality might be low, but the machine is overall reliable.

Within city its agility is good for a 180cc bike. It is very agile for city riding. (maybe not the UG4 though).

My judgment: It was the best "Speedy-Commuter" you could have got back then. Today, competition has increased with Apache RTR series. So, its a call between the commuter (Pulsar) and sporty rider (RTR).

And if you're looking for a sportsbike, better choices are available in form of R15, Duke 200, etc. Otherwise, Pulsar is a multipurpose bike- tour, stunt, off road, a bit of everything you can think.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): low on maintenance . its a very sporty bike and will never let you down on anything. looks sturday and even the big guns mite be shamed in front of the pulsar.
Cons: yes the stand is low and the headlamp is a problem but these are a few things that can be bared for the total bagage we get in the beast.

its a value for money and rightly said that if we maintain it it is a very gud bike. i love to ride it. been on highways and touched 130 with pillon rider. yes its a bit twitchy but its ok.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): VFM, FE, mid range acceleration, low maintenance, availibility of parts, city level performance and handling.
Cons: need a 6th gear, top speed could have been much more, poor headlights, starter issues.

Overall a very reliable bike. It will never let you down in any situation. Take care of her and she will take care of you.

You can Overtake vehicles at 70-80 in 5th gear with full confidence. Very good acceleration in that range.

Front bakes are very good. You can brake with full confidence. Still gives FE of 43-45 in Mumbai after 6 years (70K Kms).

Anyone can repair the bike, parts are readily available.
