Description:
The Honda Unicorn is a motorcycle developed by Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) and introduced in 2005. It was the first motorcycle in India to feature a mono-shock. The motorcycle was built and designed by the Honda R&D team based in Osaka, Japan. It was internally called the CBF150M. The engine was taken from CRF150Fpost 2005 engine. The previous version of CRF150Fwas the old CBZ classic. The design of the bike was done keeping in mind Indian road conditions. Many new features were incorporated, including a two-way air jacket, diamond frame, and an engine producing a torque of 12.8 Nm at a relatively low 5500 RPM for better fuel economy. The first version of the bike featured spoke wheels and kick start only.[3]

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Good mileage, superb engine, nice quality. . .
Cons: haven't encountered much, except with the shocks, it's sought of stiff

It is one of the best bikes brought out by Honda, it's very nice and it's got a smooth engine. I own a Unicorn 2006 model, which is still very good and there is not much of sound when I brought it. If you rev the engine too much, the mileage is going to drop less or else you'll get around 50-55 kmpl. As it has a mono shock, it's better for cornering and handles well. It's a heavy bike and still manages to be the No.1 bike from 0-60 seconds if raced against fz, rtr160, fazer, pulsar. . . Overall it's a very good bike, but the company has to make it look a more sportier type look, as the present looks sought of outdated. . .

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Bike design and engine refinement
Cons: little lack of torque, poor headlight

this is a very sophisticated motorcycle for executives. It is heavy to drag around for parking but weight is advantage while riding. Suspension works best with pillion at medium setting.

It is best ridden between speed of 40 to 60 kmph and in 5th gear. Only problem is once slowed down due to some reason below 30 speed, It feels sluggish even after downshit of gear to 4th or 3rd.

Often has to double downshift from 5th gear due to lack of torque at low rpm. It takes its time to gain speed again and it progressively increases. Definately not for power riders who prefer to have torque at hand at any speed in any gear in city. This is for those who wants 50+ fuel economy and hassle free bike and compromise a little bit on power.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Smooth engine, low engine noise, mileage
Cons: poor pick up,

I brought my Unicorn on Sep, 2013. As long as you handle the bike and ride in a cruise mode, its a pleasant bike but as if your are in to ripping mode, then you may get in to trouble. Or in another words the bike is designed for 40-60kmph cruise riding, you'll get a good mileage around 55kmpl and you'll experience what it means to be riding on wings.
