But if we were to mention GTS 175, reactions would likely be indifferent. We confess that the name GTS is not usual among Indian motorcycles.\n\nSee all used Rajdoot Motorcycles listed on OLX<\/span> <\/a><\/span>for sale and you might find an interesting deal that fits your budjet\n\nHowever, the GTS 175 is one of the most popular motorcycles made by Rajdoot in the 1970s and 80s. What gets the attention of the onlookers is its miniature size. The small fuel tank, 10-inch wheels and the high mounted exhaust together create an interesting looking motorcycle. It weighs 93 kg dry and has a pretty small wheelbase of 1120 mm.\n\n\"3\"\n\nA motorcycle this small can\u2019t really be about performance and it isn\u2019t. The GTS has a 173cc two-stroke single cylinder engine, which gives an impression of a decently powerful unit, but it produced only 7.5 BHP at 5000 RPM and 12.7 NM of torque at 3500 RPM. Understandably, it was a mediocre performer.\n\n\"4\"\n\nSo then, why was it so popular? The answer to this question is as imperceptible as you can imagine it to be. The GTS 175 was more popularly known as Bobby, a name much more familiar amongst everyone who has heard of this motorcycle. And the reason it was named so was because it was featured in the hit Hindi movie, Bobby. The young and dynamic Rishi Kapoor rode it with the equally stunning Dimple Kapadia at the back, and they both changed the fortune of this particular Rajdoot forever.\n\n\"Spartan\n\nWhile the GTS is definitely cute and adorable to look at, it invariably reminds us of another small motorcycle, Honda Grom. The two motorcycles are so similar in stature, yet, so much apart. One is a retro and the other is a thoroughly modern motorcycle. If they were made by the same manufacturer, the Honda Grom would have appeared like an obvious evolution of the GTS 175.\n\n\n
