KTM is surely promoting hooliganism in India!!!

i guess pricing will be the main deciding factor for the success of this bike in the Indian market. If they put it under 2.5 lakhs onroad (Mumbai & blore prices considering the taxes.. damn!!) then they have a product in hand which will not just fill the void of powerful bikes for a lot of crazy ethusiasts but at the same time they will be doing good nos. of bikes rolling out of the factory and vanishing from the KTM showrooms in no time.. So pricing is the key!!.. Common Bajaj... we are all waiting!!

    Cheers,

What's the resale price of D200? Will have to sell mine to get D390. And will have to arrange for a loan I guess. Damn, I need this bike! D200 is not enough for me!

P.S: Is KTM planning on a higher capacity bike in near future (about 1 year)? Will then wait for the higher version.

Honestly speaking, these are exciting times for bike lovers, with Duke 390, Ninja 300, RE Cafe racer etc.
What bothers me is how many of us are real riders and how many of us are posers
How many of us understand conditions in which we ride...do not mistake be to a negative thinker, as someone mentioned earlier, many Duke and many times I have seen RX riders ride in traffic in a way which causes great amount of inconvenience which those riders seem to enjoy...
Anyways I sincerely hope these bikes end up in right and responsible hands

This is going to be one devil on the road everybody should beware! Jokes apart, I feel this is the first time such a high performance bike will be available for just over a couple of lakhs going by figures somebody posted earlier.

Now a little calculation, what's the bang for the buck offered by our new gen bikes i.e. Rupees/BHP:
    1. Yamaha R-15 : Rs 6,384
    2. Pulsar 200NS :Rs 3,880
    3. CBR250R : Rs 6,349
    4. KTM 200 : Rs 5,280
    5. RE 500 : Rs 5,514
    6. Ninja 300: Rs 10,286
    7. KTM 390 : Rs 5,348 (assuming an ESR price of 2.3L)

Note: As we go higher the cost per BHP will not scale linearly but increase geometrically, but KTM keeps it almost same means that's one hell of a deal!
But of course there are other things which come into play.

Too much orange colour with those orange alloys. I seriously hope that KTM does not give orange alloys as standard.

POWER/RUPEE Ratio would give a better comparative picture. Rupee/Power Ratio does not mean anything.

Hope this is the ABS version. If so, there's absolutely nothing that can beat this bike in its sales.
