Kia Sorento arrives in India, starting at INR 27.99 Lakh

Kia India has introduced the Kia Sorento at introductory prices* starting from INR 27.99 lakh for the Diesel and INR 29.99 lakh for the Hybrid (ex-showroom), as the brand enters India's premium three-row SUV segment. Along with bringing one of Kia's most successful SUV nameplates to Indian customers, the launch introduces Kia's first Hybrid offering in India and brings the global debut of Kia AI Assistant with Real-Time Generative AI capabilities with the India-spec Sorento, making it the first in its segment to offer this capability. Combining Kia's global design philosophy with next-generation in-car technology, advanced safety, premium comfort and expanded powertrain choice, the Sorento is designed to address the evolving expectations of premium SUV customers in India.

Official deliveries for the Kia Sorento will begin nationwide from today onwards, i.e. 04th September 2026.

The lighting signature continues at the rear with Star Map LED Tail Lamps, while robust front and rear skid plates with satin chrome finish, a satin chrome beltline and an integrated rear spoiler with hidden wiper further reinforce its SUV character.

CAPABILITY, WITH A CHOICE OF POWERTRAINS

With the Sorento, Kia India expands its powertrain diversity through the next-generation Smartstream powertrains, offering customers a choice between Hybrid and diesel.

At the centre of this proposition is the Smartstream 1.6 Turbo GDI Hybrid, Kia's first Hybrid offering in India. Paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, it delivers 180 PS of engine power and 265 Nm of torque, supported by a 65 PS electric motor delivering 264 Nm of torque. Club Roaring Hawks proudly announces the third edition of Ranotsava Vol-3.0, Rajasthan’s premier motorcycle lifestyle festival, scheduled to be held from 5th to 7th September 2026 at Menal Residency, Kota (Rajasthan). The three-day celebration will unite motorcycle enthusiasts, touring clubs, adventure riders, travel creators and families from across India for an unforgettable experience of riding, culture and the rich heritage of the Hadoti region, while xBhp serves as the community partner for the event.

MG Hector Tomahawk EV and PHEV launched in India

JSW MG Motor India has unveiled the Hector Tomahawk, the first product engineered on ADAPT, its newly developed Advanced Drive Architecture Platform Technology and India's first Multi-New Energy Vehicle (NEV) platform. Combining intelligent technology, premium comfort, advanced safety and electrified performance, the MG Hector Tomahawk will be offered with both Electric Vehicle (EV) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) powertrains.

Starting at an introductory Battery‑as‑a‑Service (BaaS) price of ₹13.99 lakh + 4.90 Rs/Km Battery Rental for the EV and ₹21.79 lakh + 3.20 Rs/Km Battery Rental for the PHEV, the Hector Tomahawk expands MG’s NEV portfolio, giving customers the freedom of choice while delivering the space, safety, and connected technology that Indian families expect from a modern SUV.

Maranello's new one-off for a US client; Ferrari CZ26 unveiled

Ferrari has presented the Ferrari CZ26, a new One-Off created as part of the Special Projects programme. Designed by the Ferrari Design Studio under the direction of Flavio Manzoni and developed for a US client, it represents an extremely personal vision of the supersport berlinetta concept, reimagined through an essential, technological design language with a forward-looking vision.

The car draws on the exceptional dynamic features and performance of the SF90 Stradale, retaining its technical specifications and the essence of a top-of-the-range, ultra-high-performance supercar. The project aimed to create a car with an immediately recognisable character, capable of embodying strength, precision and formal purity through a rigorous design with a strong sense of identity.

The stylistic theme of the Ferrari CZ26 is defined by a distinctly horizontal design, with a highly distinctive two-box silhouette. The car has a stable, road-hugging presence thanks to a structure based on a pure central mass resembling a capsule, supported by the four muscle-like elements at the wheel arches. The entire composition flows from the front fascia, as if the car’s body were the extrusion of a single element that ends naturally in a clean, sculpted, truncated rear end, perfectly framed by a geometry that echoes the design of the front.

The front is dominated by a full-width functional grille incorporating specific lighting units, characterised by ultra-slim modules with a concealed effect, brake air intakes, sensors and technical components. The distinctive shape of the front, underlined by an unprecedented vertical leading edge, gives the car a bold and assertive presence. The rear features a truncated tail and cantilevered taillights, elements that give the Ferrari CZ26 a light and sculptural appearance. The diffuser also features a pronounced horizontal design, which helps to visually widen the car’s stance, reinforcing its sense of stability and its poise.

The overall bodywork design is based on an extremely clean and rigorous aesthetic, with functional elements emerging directly from the main surface. The side air intakes for cooling, the front end, the rear diffuser, the cantilevered light clusters and the carbon-fibre elements, which visually extend the wheel arches, are part of a single design language that combines function and aesthetic expression. This approach draws on some of the most significant examples of Italian industrial design from the 1970s, reinterpreting their principles through a contemporary perspective.

The cabin blends harmoniously into the car thanks to the use of black trim on the roof and pillars, creating the effect of a cockpit set within the bodywork. This design further enhances the clean lines and visual lightness of the overall design.

Particular attention has been paid to the selection of colours and finishes, developed with a futuristic inspiration in mind. The choice of materials and shades conveys the idea of a technical and sporty car, yet one that is at the same time refined and forward-looking. The bodywork is finished in the exclusive Argento Veloce shade, a silver finish with a liquid-like effect that emphasises the richness of the surfaces and the precision of the lines. The Rosso Lampante details provide a striking contrast to the car’s functional and technical elements, helping to define its dynamic character, whilst the pigmented carbon fibre elements further emphasise the complexity of the bodywork.

The wheels, designed specifically for the Ferrari CZ26, combine a gloss black painted finish with a shot-peened surface treatment, achieved by blasting with microscopic beads to produce a polished effect. The natural-finish titanium exhaust tailpipes complete the overall design, directly expressing the car's technical, high-performance nature.

The exterior design theme is consistently reflected in the interior. The focal point is a bespoke black technical fabric, complemented by seat inserts produced using additive manufacturing and featuring a design developed specifically for the Ferrari CZ26. Rosso Lampante details echo the exterior colour scheme, while an embroidered CZ26 logo provides a further level of personalisation within the cabin.

The contrast between the matte surfaces of the technical fabric and the satin-finish carbon fibre is further enhanced by the use of a special gloss carbon fibre with metallic filaments woven into its structure. Completing the composition are body-coloured elements on the door panels and the upper section of the dashboard.

Aerodynamic development encompassed every area of the car. At the front, the cooling system and airflow management were completely redesigned by reorienting the central radiator pack and introducing dedicated bypass ducts, enabling improvements in both cooling efficiency and the downforce generated over the front axle. The underbody and the vortex generator system were also completely redesigned to optimise aerodynamic balance.

The outer sections of the front bumper incorporate an air curtain system that manages the wake generated by the front wheels, helping to reduce aerodynamic drag. The rear has been completely redesigned, with the introduction of a large upper rear spoiler and a dedicated diffuser, both developed to increase downforce while maintaining a high level of aerodynamic efficiency. The rear engine cover has also been redesigned and incorporates dedicated vents for thermal management of the engine compartment, ensuring effective heat dissipation under all operating conditions.

SF90 STRADALE

The SF90 Stradale marked a milestone in Ferrari's history, becoming the first series-production model from the Cavallino Rampante to feature a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) architecture. Its name celebrates the 90th anniversary of the founding of Scuderia Ferrari and highlights the direct link between the experience gained in motorsport and the road cars built in Maranello.

Powered by a twin-turbocharged V8 engine paired with three electric motors, the SF90 Stradale delivers a combined maximum output of 1000 cv and represents one of the most advanced examples of technology transfer from the track to the road.

Designed around an innovative architecture that combines extreme performance, aerodynamic efficiency and sophisticated dynamic control systems, the SF90 Stradale established new benchmarks in the high-performance supercar segment and introduced a new interpretation of Ferrari's design language, in which technological innovation and purity of proportion coexist in perfect balance.

The SF90 Stradale also gave rise to a segment that now includes the SF90 Spider, the 849 Testarossa and the 849 Testarossa Spider, as well as special editions such as the SF90 XX Stradale and the SF90 XX Spider, which further enhance its performance and exclusivity.

SPECIAL PROJECTS

The Special Projects programme is aimed at creating unique Ferraris (so-called “One-Offs”) characterised by an exclusive design crafted to the requirements of the client, who thus becomes the owner of a one-of-a-kind model.

Each project originates from an idea put forward by the client and is developed hand-in-glove with a team of designers from Ferrari’s Styling Centre.

Once the car’s proportions and forms have been defined, detailed design blueprints and a styling buck are produced before the manufacturing process for the new One-Off begins.

The entire process takes around two years on average, during which time the client is closely involved in assessing the design and verification phases.

Mahindra Racing secures third in Formula E Teams’ Championship

Mahindra Racing secured third in the 2025/26 FIA Formula E Teams’ World Championship after Nyck de Vries and Edoardo Mortara finished second and third in the final race of the GEN3 era at ExCeL London. The result took the team to 252 points, its highest single-season total and matched its best championship finish.

Rounds 16 and 17 of the 2025/2026 FIA Formula E Championship took place at the London ExCeL Circuit, and a pair of unpredictable races unfolded dramatically to decide the final championship positions for both the teams and the drivers.

On Saturday, Mahindra Racing celebrated Indian Independence Day with an impressive comeback drive from Mortara. Both drivers featured at the top of the practice timesheets, but Qualifying didn’t go as smoothly, with Nyck lining up ninth, while Edoardo qualified 13th and started 18th.

In the race itself, a late Full Course Yellow played against de Vries’ strategy, dropping him back to 13th at the chequered flag. Mortara, meanwhile, gained 11 places to finish seventh on a special day for the team.

On Sunday, de Vries and Mortara fought all the way through the Duels to set up an all-Mahindra Final. De Vries got the better of his teammate to take pole position, giving Mahindra a front-row lockout and a fifth pole of the 2026 season.

At the race start, both drivers got a clean getaway, holding their grid positions through the opening sequence of corners and through the first five laps.

On Lap 6, de Vries activated his Attack Mode and managed to maintain the lead, while Mortara attempted to follow suit a lap later and, despite missing the activation point, held onto second place.

Mortara then got through into the lead, and on Lap 22, activated his own Attack Mode without relinquishing first place. With one Attack Mode remaining each, De Vries made his way back past Mortara and in the closing stages, the Mahindra drivers synchronised use of their final allocation of extra power.

De Vries and Mortara eventually finished second and third respectively after a late Attack Mode deployment from Taylor Barnard was enough to deny the Mahindra drivers victory, but the double podium had bigger implications for the team.

A remarkable 42-point haul from the London double-header meant Mahindra secured a richly deserved third place in the Teams’ Championship on 252 points, while Mortara finished fifth and de Vries seventh in the Drivers’ Championship on 137 and 115 points respectively. Over the course of the season, the team has recorded two wins, five further podiums and five pole positions.

Celebrating a well-deserved second place for Mahindra, Nyck de Vries said: “We couldn’t have wished for a better end. Our objective this weekend was to finish third in the Teams’ Championship, which I think was a realistic but challenging target. We had a tough Saturday, but bounced back today, and everyone delivered. We executed and raced like a team.

“I can sense a subtle disappointment for not winning, which I think is fair, but ultimately, our main priority was to finish third, and that’s what we’ve achieved by racing the way we did. We can be very happy. A double podium is a great result, and honestly, we can’t wish for anything more.”

After completing a double podium for the team, Edoardo Mortara commented: “It was a very eventful and intense day, but we’ve come away achieving exactly what we were targeting. Clipping the wall in the groups phase made the duels super complicated, and the car was all over the place, but we got through to the final, which was incredible.

“From there, the race was positive. We executed well, and we managed to get third in the Teams’ Championship, which is a massive step in the right direction compared to last year. I’m super happy with what we achieved today, and the season as a whole.”

Commenting on a successful season for Mahindra, Team Principal & CEO Frederic Bertrand added: “Today is an important result for Mahindra Racing. To finish the season with our first front-row lockout, both cars on the podium and third in the Teams’ World Championship says a great deal about the level this team has reached.

“Last season we finished fourth with 186 points; this season we finish third with 252, alongside two wins, five pole positions and seven podiums. The numbers show the progress, but they come from the standards, ownership and consistency across the whole organisation, from the team at the circuit to everyone in Banbury, our colleagues in India and our partners.

“Mahindra took the first pole of the GEN3 era and the last. We can be proud of the way we have closed this chapter, and now our responsibility is to carry this level of work into GEN4.”

The new 2026 Ducati Monster launched in India

Ducati has announced the launch of the fifth generation of the Monster, a motorcycle that has written an important chapter in the history of motorcycling. When it made its debut at the Cologne Motor Show in 1992, the Monster changed the concept of naked sports bikes, giving rise to a completely new segment. A model that instantly became a true icon.

The new Monster arrives in India on the back of fresh international recognition, having just won the Red Dot Design Award -Product Design 2026, one of the world's most prestigious design accolades. The award recognises the fifth-generation Monster for reinterpreting a Ducati icon through a contemporary design language while preserving its distinctive identity. It continues Ducati's long Red Dot legacy, following past wins for the 1199 Panigale, XDiavel S and Diavel 1260.

With the 2026 Model Year, based on the new V2 engine, Ducati is writing a new chapter in this unique and unrepeatable story. The fifth generation of the Monster is completely revamped, even lighter, even more authentic.

"The Ducati Monster has always been the bike that introduced people to what a Ducati really feels like, and this new generation makes that experience more accessible than ever. The first Monster was born from a formula that was ingenious in its simplicity: "everything you need, nothing more". With a chassis derived from Superbike and the best engine for road use, the 1992 Monster combined character and performance, immediately winning the hearts of countless motorcyclists. Since then, the Monster has created a global community of enthusiasts, the Monsteristi, who still cherish its spirit and celebrate its history. In over thirty years of evolution, the Monster has been able to renew itself without ever losing its identity. From the 900, 600 and 750 two-valve engines to the more recent Desmoquattro and Testastretta versions, each generation has brought technical and stylistic innovations, while keeping the original soul intact.

Unmistakable personality

The new Monster, redesigned from scratch, combines lightness and technology with unmistakable aesthetics, reinterpreting the style of the first Monster in a modern key.

The bison-back tank, which has always been a distinctive feature of the Borgo Panigale naked bike, has been redesigned to maintain the slimness of the current Monster while restoring the muscularity typical of the Monster.

The headlight, which in motorcycle design is the true face of the bike, is full-LED, with a robotic and modern look that recalls various stylistic elements of the Ducati range.

The cover on the side panels connects to the seat, which is narrower and 5 mm lower (815 mm total) to make it easier to put your feet on the ground, and diverts the hot air from the radiator outwards, improving thermal comfort. On the lower part of the cover, the Ducati shield is flanked by the coordinates of the historic Borgo Panigale factory.

The new V2 twin-cylinder engine, modern and characterised by its clean aesthetics thanks to precise technical choices, is the perfect engine for the Monster. The naked bike from Borgo Panigale has always had the V-twin – a noble engine characterised by slimness, optimal weight distribution and reduced vibrations thanks to the perfect balance of first-rate forces – as one of its technical and stylistic pillars.

The Ducati V2 is lightweight (-5.9 kg compared to the previous Testastretta Evoluzione) and high-performing, thanks to IVT (Intake Variable Timing) distribution, and characterised by very low running costs: the 45,000 km maintenance interval for valve clearance checks is an absolute benchmark for the category.

The IVT variable timing distribution system allows the Monster engine to combine smoothness at low revs, vigour at medium revs and power at high revs (111 horsepower at 9,000 rpm), delivering more than 80% of its maximum torque between 4,000 and 10,000 rpm. Thanks to this responsive power delivery, a traditional feature of the Monster, and to a comprehensive, sophisticated electronic management, the new V2 delivers its performance safely and without ever being demanding for the rider.

Sporty chassis

The new Ducati V2 is a stressed part of the chassis. The latter is based on a monocoque frame, a double-sided swingarm inspired by the Ducati Hollow Symmetrical Swingarm of the Panigale V4 and a rear subframe consisting of a technopolymer element and a trellis. This technical layout, combined with the engine, contributes to making the new Monster even lighter than the already lightweight previous model (-4 kg, for a total weight of 175 kg with an empty tank) and therefore agile and easy to handle in every situation.

The 43 mm upside-down fork and monoshock, both by Showa, have been specifically calibrated to optimise comfort in everyday use and sportiness on mixed riding, confirming the dual soul of the Ducati naked bike. The new Monster is stable and gives confidence to its rider, while remaining agile and enjoyable.

The Brembo braking system is based on dual 320 mm front discs, with M4.32 radial callipers and dedicated pads, developed specifically to offer a softer initial bite combined with high braking power. This makes the Monster safe and fun to ride when exploiting its performance, while also being very manageable in an urban environment. The Diablo Rosso IV tyres, in sizes 120/70 and 180/55, are Pirelli's top of the range for road use, offering grip and safety.

The rider sits on a lower seat (815 mm) that is narrower than the previous model, making it easier to put your feet on the ground. The higher, forward-moved handlebars increase the feeling of control in sporty riding and at the same time define a comfortable riding position when the ride gets more relaxed. The side panels with grip surface support the rider when braking, while also becoming a stylistic element that celebrates the history of the Monster through the Ducati crest proudly displayed on the lower part.

Intuitive and fun, the Monster can change its soul at the touch of a button thanks to four Riding Modes specifically designed to simplify and enhance riding in every situation. Sport-inclined riders will appreciate the engine's grit in Sport Riding Mode on mountain roads, relying on the safety of an electronic package that includes DTC (Ducati Traction Control), DWC (Ducati Wheelie Control), EBC (Engine Brake Control) and cornering ABS. At the same time, less experienced riders and those who love to ride the Monster around town will find it easier and quicker to get to grips with the Ducati naked bike thanks to the Road and Urban Riding Modes.

Ducati Protect is available for the all-new 2026 Ducati Monster. The package comes in two variants to cater to different needs: Ducati Protect (+), costing INR 30,999, which offers coverage for 2 years or 15,000 kilometres, and Ducati Protect (Pro), costing INR 54,999, which extends the coverage to 4 years or 30,000 kilometres.

Both variants cover genuine Ducati parts and labour by Ducati-certified technicians, ensuring factory-quality servicing throughout the contract period at every authorised Ducati dealership in the country. Bajaj launches the new Pulsar N160 S and N160 SS

Bajaj has launched the all-new Pulsar N160 S and Pulsar N160 SS, expanding the highly successful Pulsar N160 range. Engineered to set a new benchmark in the 160cc category, the new motorcycles combine intuitive intelligence, exhilarating performance, advanced technology and aggressive styling to deliver an adrenaline-filled riding experience for the new generation of performance enthusiasts.

Since its introduction, the Pulsar N160 range has emerged as one of the fastest-growing motorcycles in the segment. The model has grown at 60% in the first six months of this calendar year, thrice the rate for relevant industries. It is the most searched sports motorcycle model online and a strong favourite among young riders, with 70% of its customers being under 35 years. Its success is built on the strong customer acceptance of its refined performance, projector LED headlamp, Gold USD forks, comfortable single seat and sporty streetfighter styling. The range expansion with N160 S and N160 SS builds on its success and offers even more performance, intelligence and relevant features for riding enthusiasts who want the best of the motorcycling experience. The N160 will continue to be available.

At the heart of both motorcycles is the new Intelligent Throttle (ETB), enabling a smarter, more responsive riding experience while unlocking advanced rider technologies like throttle control, ride modes and crawl tech. This intelligence is paired with an all-new 4V 165cc engine.

Below are the highlights of these new models :

4-Valve Engine

The advanced 165cc 4-valve engine delivers 18.5 PS, the highest power among motorcycles in the segment, with the fastest 0–60 km/h acceleration in just 4.5 seconds, the fastest in the segment.

Intelligent Throttle (ETB)

The Intelligent Throttle continuously optimises throttle response, delivering smoother power delivery and enabling advanced rider technologies for improved control and rideability.

ETB-enabled Ride Modes

4 ETB responsive ride modes (Rain, Sport, Road and Off-road) adapt the motorcycle's performance to different riding conditions, allowing riders to choose the ride character from everyday commuting to spirited riding; from keeping safe on wet surfaces to enjoying off-road trails with confidence.

Responsive Traction Control – (Pulsar N160 SS)

Powered by the Intelligent Throttle (ETB), the highly responsive Traction Control improves rider confidence by helping maintain grip across varying road conditions.

Crawl Technology

Crawl Technology enables smooth low-speed movement even in high gears without the need for frequent gear changes or using the clutch. This makes navigating through stop-and-go city traffic easier and more comfortable for riders.

TFT with Google Maps Mirroring – (N160 SS)

The 5” TFT console with Google Maps Mirroring, a first for any sports bike in India, enables convenient, familiar and effortless navigation

Premium Styling and comfortable rider ergonomics– (Pulsar N160 SS)

Sharp new graphics, coloured alloy wheels and improved handlebar angle and seat height reinforce the motorcycle's bold streetfighter character and road presence while making it more comfortable for the rider. The new N160 variants will be available in three new colours: Atlantic Blue, Pearl Metallic White, and Brooklyn Black.
