The new Monster arrives in India on the back of fresh international recognition, having just won the Red Dot Design Award -Product Design 2026, one of the world's most prestigious design accolades. The award recognises the fifth-generation Monster for reinterpreting a Ducati icon through a contemporary design language while preserving its distinctive identity. It continues Ducati's long Red Dot legacy, following past wins for the 1199 Panigale, XDiavel S and Diavel 1260.

With the 2026 Model Year, based on the new V2 engine, Ducati is writing a new chapter in this unique and unrepeatable story. The fifth generation of the Monster is completely revamped, even lighter, even more authentic.

"The Ducati Monster has always been the bike that introduced people to what a Ducati really feels like, and this new generation makes that experience more accessible than ever. With the new V2 engine, class-leading maintenance intervals and a completely reimagined design, it's a bike built for riders who want the full Ducati experience in a form that's easy to live with every day," said Mr Bipul Chandra, Managing Director, Ducati India.

The first Monster was born from a formula that was ingenious in its simplicity: "everything you need, nothing more". With a chassis derived from Superbike and the best engine for road use, the 1992 Monster combined character and performance, immediately winning the hearts of countless motorcyclists. Since then, the Monster has created a global community of enthusiasts, the Monsteristi, who still cherish its spirit and celebrate its history. In over thirty years of evolution, the Monster has been able to renew itself without ever losing its identity. From the 900, 600 and 750 two-valve engines to the more recent Desmoquattro and Testastretta versions, each generation has brought technical and stylistic innovations, while keeping the original soul intact.



Unmistakable personality

The new Monster, redesigned from scratch, combines lightness and technology with unmistakable aesthetics, reinterpreting the style of the first Monster in a modern key.

The bison-back tank, which has always been a distinctive feature of the Borgo Panigale naked bike, has been redesigned to maintain the slimness of the current Monster while restoring the muscularity typical of the Monster.

The headlight, which in motorcycle design is the true face of the bike, is full-LED, with a robotic and modern look that recalls various stylistic elements of the Ducati range.

The cover on the side panels connects to the seat, which is narrower and 5 mm lower (815 mm total) to make it easier to put your feet on the ground, and diverts the hot air from the radiator outwards, improving thermal comfort. On the lower part of the cover, the Ducati shield is flanked by the coordinates of the historic Borgo Panigale factory.

The new V2 twin-cylinder engine, modern and characterised by its clean aesthetics thanks to precise technical choices, is the perfect engine for the Monster. The naked bike from Borgo Panigale has always had the V-twin – a noble engine characterised by slimness, optimal weight distribution and reduced vibrations thanks to the perfect balance of first-rate forces – as one of its technical and stylistic pillars.

The Ducati V2 is lightweight (-5.9 kg compared to the previous Testastretta Evoluzione) and high-performing, thanks to IVT (Intake Variable Timing) distribution, and characterised by very low running costs: the 45,000 km maintenance interval for valve clearance checks is an absolute benchmark for the category.

The IVT variable timing distribution system allows the Monster engine to combine smoothness at low revs, vigour at medium revs and power at high revs (111 horsepower at 9,000 rpm), delivering more than 80% of its maximum torque between 4,000 and 10,000 rpm. Thanks to this responsive power delivery, a traditional feature of the Monster, and to a comprehensive, sophisticated electronic management, the new V2 delivers its performance safely and without ever being demanding for the rider.

Sporty chassis

The new Ducati V2 is a stressed part of the chassis. The latter is based on a monocoque frame, a double-sided swingarm inspired by the Ducati Hollow Symmetrical Swingarm of the Panigale V4 and a rear subframe consisting of a technopolymer element and a trellis. This technical layout, combined with the engine, contributes to making the new Monster even lighter than the already lightweight previous model (-4 kg, for a total weight of 175 kg with an empty tank) and therefore agile and easy to handle in every situation.

The 43 mm upside-down fork and monoshock, both by Showa, have been specifically calibrated to optimise comfort in everyday use and sportiness on mixed riding, confirming the dual soul of the Ducati naked bike. The new Monster is stable and gives confidence to its rider, while remaining agile and enjoyable.

The Brembo braking system is based on dual 320 mm front discs, with M4.32 radial callipers and dedicated pads, developed specifically to offer a softer initial bite combined with high braking power. This makes the Monster safe and fun to ride when exploiting its performance, while also being very manageable in an urban environment. The Diablo Rosso IV tyres, in sizes 120/70 and 180/55, are Pirelli's top of the range for road use, offering grip and safety.

The rider sits on a lower seat (815 mm) that is narrower than the previous model, making it easier to put your feet on the ground. The higher, forward-moved handlebars increase the feeling of control in sporty riding and at the same time define a comfortable riding position when the ride gets more relaxed. The side panels with grip surface support the rider when braking, while also becoming a stylistic element that celebrates the history of the Monster through the Ducati crest proudly displayed on the lower part.

Intuitive and fun, the Monster can change its soul at the touch of a button thanks to four Riding Modes specifically designed to simplify and enhance riding in every situation. Sport-inclined riders will appreciate the engine's grit in Sport Riding Mode on mountain roads, relying on the safety of an electronic package that includes DTC (Ducati Traction Control), DWC (Ducati Wheelie Control), EBC (Engine Brake Control) and cornering ABS. At the same time, less experienced riders and those who love to ride the Monster around town will find it easier and quicker to get to grips with the Ducati naked bike thanks to the Road and Urban Riding Modes.

All of the above is easily managed via the new petal-shaped joystick controls and the 5" TFT display, which is Ducati Multimedia System- and turn-by-turn navigation-ready. The dashboard is always easy to read thanks to the dual mode (day and night) and the display based on Info Mode Road and Road Pro, which allow the rider to focus on riding by optimising the visibility of the most relevant information in each context.



Periodic Maintenance Contract – Ducati Protect

Ducati Protect is available for the all-new 2026 Ducati Monster. The package comes in two variants to cater to different needs: Ducati Protect (+), costing INR 30,999, which offers coverage for 2 years or 15,000 kilometres, and Ducati Protect (Pro), costing INR 54,999, which extends the coverage to 4 years or 30,000 kilometres.

Both variants cover genuine Ducati parts and labour by Ducati-certified technicians, ensuring factory-quality servicing throughout the contract period at every authorised Ducati dealership in the country. The Ducati network in India consists of New Delhi, Pune, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Goa.

The package is activated on the date of warranty activation of the bike and is transferable if the bike is sold to another owner. It is important to note that consumables like brake pads, clutch plates, tyres, etc. are not included in the package.

Accessories

The Monster is one of the Ducati models that most stimulated the imagination of its owners in terms of customisation. To satisfy those who want to make the Monster even more their own, Ducati Performance offers a wide range of accessories to enhance its aesthetics, such as carbon fibre details, billet aluminium parts, and a sports seat with Alcantara upholstery.

Sports enthusiasts will also appreciate the homologated silencers with titanium liners and carbon end caps, developed in collaboration with Termignoni, which reduce weight (-0.2 kg) and unmistakably increase the Monster's grit.

Availability in India
The new Ducati Monster launches in India on 10 August 2026, in both versions, Monster and Monster+, the latter with a passenger seat cover and a headlight cowl.

It also reflects the company's ambition to further strengthen its presence in the country and deepen its connection with India's passionate community of automotive enthusiasts.

Designed for those who want a more dynamic driving experience without compromising comfort or style, the Ferrari Amalfi Spider combines outstanding performance and everyday versatility with the unique pleasure of open-top motoring, making every journey more engaging.

The car exemplifies the Ferrari sporting lifestyle in an open-top configuration: a seamless blend of performance, elegance, driving pleasure, ease of use and versatility. With the roof down, direct contact with the road and the sensations of open-air driving become integral to the experience, without compromising everyday usability or comfort.

The design of the Ferrari Amalfi Spider was driven by the desire to preserve the proportions and volumes of the Ferrari Amalfi, retaining its elegant, flowing silhouette even with the roof open. The soft top, a choice that enhances the car's versatile character by giving it a clear and distinctive position within the Prancing Horse range, adds a more expressive character through a wide range of personalisation options, with four colours in tailor-made fabric and two in technical fabric, including the new Tecnico Ottanio. Optional contrast stitching further underscores both the car's sporting character and its refined elegance. The distinctive weave of the technical fabric also creates a shimmering effect that enhances the material's three-dimensionality.



The soft top opens in 13.5 seconds and can be operated on the move at speeds of up to 60 km/h. When folded, its compact packaging—just 220 mm thick—maximises luggage capacity, offering 255 litres with the roof closed and 172 litres with the roof open, in a layout suited to both everyday use and weekend getaways.

Acoustic and thermal insulation is provided by a five-layer fabric delivering soundproofing and heat insulation comparable to that of a Ferrari retractable hard top (RHT), allowing occupants to appreciate the quality of the soft-top material even when driving with the roof down.

Like the Ferrari Amalfi, the cabin features a dual-cockpit layout and an evolved driver-car interface. Key elements include the steering wheel with physical buttons, the return of the iconic start button, the integrated central display, and controls designed for natural interaction even during the most dynamic driving.

The 2+ configuration enhances practicality, with rear seats suitable for travelling with children or increasing load capacity. Completing the
experience, an integrated wind deflector built into the rear bench backrest, and operated at the touch of a button, improves comfort by reducing turbulence during open-top driving.



The car's design is based on a fluid, minimalist approach, with sculpted volumes and clean surfaces that convey modernity and dynamism. The front end is defined by a large air intake and a long, sculpted bonnet that houses the 640 hp turbocharged V8. At the rear, the integrated active spoiler contributes to high-speed stability, while forged wheels and carbon fibre details complete a sporty and sophisticated aesthetic.

EXTERIOR

Designed by the Ferrari Design Studio under the direction of Flavio Manzoni, the Ferrari Amalfi Spider embodies Ferrari's sporting lifestyle in an open-air configuration, thanks to its 2+ spider architecture with a fabric soft top engineered to fully preserve the proportions and formal purity of the Ferrari Amalfi. The silhouette is elegant, fluid and instantly recognisable, whether the roof is open or closed. The design language blends refinement and energy, taking shape as a monolithic, sleek and sculptural speedform that gives the car a modern, fresh character while retaining unrivalled elegance.

The approach is minimalist and functional, built around a precise interplay of volumes and clean surfaces sculpted by light. The soft top is available in four tailor-made fabric colours and two technical fabric options, including the new Tecnico Ottanio, inspired by the car's overall colour mood. The distinctive weave of the fabric creates a three-dimensional shimmering effect that highlights the roof in all lighting conditions. With the roof open, the technical fabric can also extend over the tonneau and adjacent rear surfaces, creating unprecedented material continuity across the exterior and lending visual momentum to the rear, perceived as a natural extension of the roof.

With the Ferrari Amalfi Spider, Ferrari introduces the new Rosso Tramonto colour, an exclusive shade that enriches the chromatic journey begun with Verde Costiera, inspired by the hues of the Amalfi Coast. The signature colour of the Ferrari Amalfi Spider takes shape at the evocative boundary between sea and sky at dusk, embodying the character and distinctive elegance of the landscape that inspired it.

This new shade, intense yet refined, is distinguished by subtle orange undertones that evoke the warm light of the setting sun, igniting the coast's most iconic vistas. Rosso Tramonto enhances the sculpted surfaces of the Ferrari Amalfi Spider, enriching Ferrari's red palette and capturing the energy of the day's last ray of light, transforming it into emotion, identity and visual performance.

INTERIOR

The interior of the Ferrari Amalfi Spider carries forward the same concept of elegant, usable sporting character within a cockpit designed for open-top driving. The dual-cockpit architecture creates a pronounced cocooning effect, enveloping driver and passenger in two distinct yet visually connected spaces.

The layout extends from the front seats across the dashboard and door panels, flowing seamlessly into the central tunnel, while the rear seats play a secondary role to the benefit of versatility without compromising the overall clarity of the design. The central display serves as the point of interaction between driver and passenger, with a shared interface that underscores the car's dual nature—sporting and versatile.

The interior design is deliberately clean, minimalist and contemporary, shaped by a process of subtraction that highlights materials, surfaces and geometries. For the first time, the instrument cluster and air vents are brought together within a single monolithic cockpit, evenly divided between driver and passenger.

The central tunnel adopts a pure, essential form: a suspended bridge machined from solid aluminium houses the primary controls, while secondary functions are positioned further back to improve ergonomics and clean visuals. The door panels introduce a sail motif—sculptural elements that integrate the handles and armrests.

Personalisation also extends to the interior, with selected components trimmed in the same fabric as the soft top, including the tonneau cover, door panels and seatbacks, creating an unprecedented stylistic continuity between exterior and cockpit even with the roof stowed.

DRIVER–VEHICLE INTERFACE

The onboard experience of the Ferrari Amalfi Spider, like that of the Ferrari Amalfi, has been designed to deliver intuitive, engaging and technologically advanced interaction, thanks to a completely renewed interface system and a range of solutions aimed at enhancing comfort and quality of life on board.

The new steering wheel, featuring physical buttons, marks a return to tactile controls, with a layout engineered to ensure maximum ergonomics and immediate recognisability in all driving conditions. On the left, the return of the iconic anodised aluminium start button establishes an immediate bond between driver and car from the very first moment of start-up.

  • 15.6-inch digital instrument cluster providing all driving and vehicle dynamics information.
  • 10.25-inch central capacitive touchscreen providing access to multimedia, radio, phone, screen mirroring, climate control, seat adjustments and vehicle settings.
  • 8.8-inch passenger display allowing the passenger to monitor G-forces, engine revs and other vehicle information.
  • Connectivity includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and wireless smartphone charging integrated into the centre tunnel.
  • The car is also equipped with the MyFerrari Connect system, allowing remote monitoring of the vehicle's status via a dedicated app.
CHASSIS AND ARCHITECTURE

The Ferrari Amalfi Spider adopts an architecture designed to deliver an uncompromising open-air driving experience in terms of comfort and
functionality.

The soft-top mechanism has been engineered to be both lightweight and robust, featuring a Z-fold kinematic system that allows the roof to open in just 13.5 seconds, even while driving at speeds of up to 60 km/h. When fully stowed, the roof measures only 220 mm thick, ensuring outstanding packaging efficiency.

The fully automatic fabric soft top incorporates a large rear window and is constructed from a five-layer, sandwich-assembled acoustic fabric designed to effectively attenuate road and external noise. The result is acoustic insulation comparable to that of a vehicle equipped with a retractable hardtop (RHT), thanks in part to insulating layers of varying thicknesses that strike an ideal balance between performance and weight.

A strong focus on usability is also reflected in space management. The Ferrari Amalfi Spider offers class-leading luggage capacity, with 255 litres available when the roof is closed and 172 litres when it is open, ensuring it remains suitable for both everyday urban use and weekend journeys.

AERODYNAMICS

The aerodynamic development of the Ferrari Amalfi Spider started with a clear goal: to create a convertible with a fabric roof capable of delivering aerodynamic performance comparable to that of the Ferrari Amalfi while also providing top-class comfort with the roof down.

The adoption of the soft top and its influence on the bodywork geometry led to an extensive process of analysis and optimisation designed to preserve both aerodynamic efficiency and downforce.

A series of functional devices contribute to airflow management and help balance aerodynamic load and drag.

At the front:
  • A bypass above the headlight connects the front end of the car to the engine compartment, reducing overpressure and contributing to thermal management.

  • Aerodynamic fairings positioned ahead of both the front and rear wheels reduce drag around the exposed portions of the tyres.
At the rear, the Ferrari Amalfi Spider features a mobile wing perfectly integrated into the tail. It operates in three active configurations:
  • Low Drag (LD)
  • Medium Downforce (MD)
  • High Downforce (HD)
These modes adjust automatically according to the vehicle's speed and both longitudinal and lateral acceleration.

In the High Downforce configuration, the wing generates up to 110 kg of additional load at 250 km/h while increasing aerodynamic drag by less than 4%.

The Medium Downforce configuration develops aerodynamic load sooner, allowing a quicker transition to maximum wing opening.

A 20 mm integrated nolder completes the rear axle design, helping recompress airflow during minimum-drag conditions.

The rear diffuser has also been optimised to achieve the ideal balance between aerodynamic load and drag, using controlled expansion of airflow through the central channel to maximise slipstream energy and improve overall efficiency.
  • Cooling performance is fully integrated into the aerodynamic package.
  • The central section houses the engine water radiator and air-conditioning condenser.
  • Side intakes feed the intercoolers for the twin-turbocharging system.
  • Special attention has also been paid to passenger comfort with the roof lowered.
The Ferrari Amalfi Spider incorporates an integrated wind deflector within the rear seat backrests. Activated by the driver at the touch of a button, it redirects airflow that would otherwise enter the cabin from behind, creating a calmer air pocket around occupants while significantly reducing turbulence and wind noise.

The system operates with an opening angle of 101°. Its integrated frame provides rigidity and stability in all driving conditions.

The wind deflector can be deployed at speeds of up to 170 km/h. Above this speed, it is electronically prevented from opening, although once already deployed it remains operational up to the vehicle's maximum speed.

POWERTRAIN

Like the Ferrari Amalfi, the Ferrari Amalfi Spider is powered by the latest evolution of Ferrari's 3,855 cc twin-turbocharged V8 from the acclaimed F154 engine family—one of the most decorated powerplants in modern automotive history.

In this application, the engine produces:
  • Maximum power: 640 hp at 7,500 rpm
  • Specific output: 166 hp per litre
  • Redline: 7,600 rpm
Compared with the Ferrari Roma Spider, performance gains have been achieved through an advanced turbocharging management system that independently controls the rotational speed of each turbocharger.

Dedicated calibration allows maximum turbo speed to increase to 171,000 rpm, improving throttle response while providing more precise boost pressure control through dedicated pressure sensors for each cylinder bank.

The engine also benefits from Ferrari's latest engine control unit, already used in models such as the 296 GTB, Purosangue and 12Cilindri, enabling the engine's full performance potential to be realised.

Engine mass has also been reduced through several measures.
  • New lightweight camshafts save 1.3 kg.
  • Precision machining of the redesigned engine block removes unnecessary structural material, reducing weight by approximately another kilogram.
For the first time on a Ferrari engine, a low-viscosity oil has been adopted. This reduces cold-start resistance by approximately 30 per cent compared with the previous specification while improving warm-up efficiency.

Throttle response has been further sharpened through a combination of advanced engineering solutions, including:
  • Flat-plane crankshaft
  • Compact, low-inertia turbochargers
  • Twin-scroll turbo technology with separated exhaust gas management
  • Single-scroll exhaust manifolds with equal-length runners
Together, these components deliver a smoother, more progressive power delivery while strengthening mid-range and high-rpm performance across all gears.

The eight-speed dual-clutch oil-bath transmission, first introduced on the SF90 Stradale, has been further refined through a more powerful control unit and tighter integration with the engine management software. The result is even faster and smoother gear changes.

Overall drivetrain efficiency is further enhanced through:
  • Dry-sump gearbox configuration
  • Low-friction bevel gear
  • Optimised clutch torque management
These measures improve refinement during everyday driving, particularly in Start & Stop traffic.

Ferrari also devoted considerable attention to the car's sound signature.

A newly developed silencer layout meets the latest global noise regulations while preserving Ferrari's unmistakable V8 soundtrack.

The flat-plane crankshaft and equal-length exhaust headers contribute to the engine's distinctive firing order, while the exhaust system incorporates a ceramic matrix catalyst with rhodium, platinum and palladium coatings to reduce catalyst light-off time.

A proportionally controlled bypass valve continuously adjusts the exhaust note according to driving conditions.

VEHICLE DYNAMICS

The Ferrari Amalfi Spider represents a significant evolution among front-engined 2+ spiders through the integration of Ferrari's latest vehicle dynamics technologies.

One of the most important developments is the introduction of brake-by-wire, which delivers:
  • Greater braking efficiency
  • Shorter pedal travel
  • Improved modulation
  • Enhanced performance even during ABS intervention
The latest ABS Evo system—first introduced on the Ferrari 296 GTB and later developed for the Purosangue and 12Cilindri—has been specifically calibrated for the Ferrari Amalfi Spider.

Using information from the 6D sensor, the system continuously estimates vehicle speed and determines the optimum slip level for each wheel, optimising brake force distribution.

Benefits include:
  • Improved straight-line braking
  • Better stability during combined braking and cornering
  • Greater repeatability regardless of tyre wear, surface conditions or road temperature
The system operates as part of Ferrari's Side Slip Control (SSC) 6.1 architecture, coordinating steering, torque management, suspension control and braking systems.

A further advancement is Ferrari's latest Electric Power Steering (EPS)-based grip estimation system.

Compared with the previous generation, grip estimation is:
  • 10% faster
  • More accurate
  • Better able to recognise low-grip conditions
By analysing steering forces together with hub-carrier movement and the yaw angle estimated by SSC 6.1, the system evaluates available tyre grip even when the driver is well below the limit, allowing electronic systems to react more quickly and naturally.

MANETTINO

The familiar Ferrari Manettino offers five driving modes:
  • Wet
  • Comfort
  • Sport
  • Race
  • ESC-Off
These modes alter the behaviour of:
  • F1-Trac
  • Electronic differential (E-Diff)
  • Suspension damping
  • Other vehicle dynamic systems
Compared with the Ferrari Roma, the Sport and Race calibrations have been made noticeably more dynamic while transitions between modes have also been smoothed to improve confidence and usability.

ACTIVE REAR SPOILER

The Ferrari Amalfi Spider also employs an active rear spoiler that adjusts according to longitudinal and lateral acceleration.

The spoiler automatically moves into its High Downforce configuration, generating additional rear aerodynamic load and improving overall vehicle stability.
