even i think if your bike is having good CC and engine you dont need all this BullS**t as till date i havent seen any other imported bikes having Dual spark plug in a single cylender, or eaxusttec.Wait for few months Honda is coming with its 250 cc and HH is coming with 385 cc bike and that time you dont need to put DTSI or eaxustec for showing the dirt to other bikers
buddy a lot of imported bikes use daul spark plug, if u havent seen one it doesnt mean it doesnt exits. bmw, ducati have been using them for yers now in some models. and as a matter of fact even the bmw launched in india,( remember the f650 funduro, single cylinder ) had two spark plugs too............

@Maheul ya its true coz its having a big 650 cc cylender and to burn that much of fule and air mixture u have to have 2 plugs, Other italians also had twin plug concept but they stopped why god knows. So having twin plugs for tini 150 or 180 is not a advanced tech.Do you think that engineer at Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha and Kawasaki are fool that they are not putting dual plugs?

Ajay i wud really appreciate if u stick to a topic, neways coming to ur point, the answer lies in ur answer, the tech comes coz bajaj was able to introduce a technology which nobody found appropriate or possible in smaller cc engines.

If u wanna discuss this pls send me a pm or on some other thread.

Guys pls answer the query posted by the author, further off topic posts will be deleted

What extactly is this "Torque Expansion Chamber"?

I think I beigning to understand what it is .
It seems to be a sound/resonator box leading your
your air filter box midway thru the bendpipe.

I think it is same idea that was used in 2S (Posted earlier in xBHP)
    http://www.stannakajak.com/skalmanmc...ing/expan1.htm

    Any further inputs from members/clarification?

    Regards
PS: If what I am thinking in right then this idea does not seems to be new and already been implemented by some gaints

i thought that it was something similar to an exup valve which was used for increasing back pressure at low rpms (essentially to get more torque)

However, thanks to a new device Bajaj is patenting ExhausTEC , the Discover makes more than 1 kgm all the way from 3500 to 6000 rpm most of the competition doesn't make that much torque at all. The result is the ability to open throttle and find useable power, in any gear and at any engine speed.

The bike also uses a new technology Bajaj is in process of patenting called ExhausTEC which would give the bike a torque of 1 kgm through a long range of RPM allowing the users to get the big burst of sudden powers to overtake easily on cluttered roads.
