    If it is not done properly then there will be a problem. If more is shaved then chances of knocking are there. If not alligned properly then the head will leak. Only a very experianced mechanic can do it.

    It is not risk free. If the shaving is more then chances of knocking increase.

    hmmm... so it's not worth the risk i'd say. i bettter find a 8:1 piston, my mech and sunish said these are available in chennai.

    K&Ns r best nd they cost arnd Rs 2500

    Just some advice. If the piston is the same which is being exported ? ( I doubt because Enfield dealers/ modifiers use pistons made in Germany ) then it is OK. Other wise the expansion / contraction of piston due to the heat if not proper will ruin the block.
