Aah.. Good to hear that buddy digital models are quiet complexHave u purchased new Bcu,.??In one of the threads you have said that P135 have contact type switches..!!Is it true.??So in your bikes case.. If bcu was found culprit... then instead of spending 1000 rs on bcu, its better to buy P135 both switch sets and throw your bikes bcu...Its my idea.. I dont know whether P135 has bcu and its switches are contact type ones... What u say buddy..??

yes pulsar 135, pulsar200ns have contact type switches i could use that but that would need more time connecting them i need to check every single wire which goes where so simple for me was to get a new bcu and replace
i found the bcu was culprit by directly connecting my cdi relay which is the near the battery to the battery so after connecting the bike started i need to start with the push because the bcu was not connected.

Oh... Atlast you had easily found the culprit...If P135 have contact type switches, then does the P135 and P200ns bikes have bcu.??Heard from many bikers that Bcu is more prone for damage...Once i asked an bike electrician to fit backlit switches, but warned me that the regular new pulsar bikers are coming to him with damaged switches and bcu . He said that he advices them to get conventional PULSAR UG switches which are very robust according to him..!!So if contact switches are robust then P135 and P200ns should also be robust...!! So i advised them to u...What are your observations buddy..??

no pulsar 135 and p200ns does not have bcu.
i would not say contact less or contact switches are reliable both have + an - points.
the damage only occurs if something is shorting due to wrong connections it is not good to say that the bcu is more prone to the damages because in my friends pulsar he has never changed it(5 years pulsar 180 ug3) but still the Bajaj had stopped it now in the new release like pulsar 135 and 200ns some pulsar owners had removed bcu completely and are now using pulsar ug2 switches some are also using pulsar 135 switches

yes pulsar 135 and 200ns switches are good to go but that would include to mess with the stock wiring which would result in less reliability i would not advice against using pulsar 135 or 200ns switches you can use them just remember to connect them properly and one more thing do not depend upon the mechanics (excluding authorized service center mechanics) because they sometime don't know properly about the electrical and would tell you wrong things as i had experienced my self also.

NOTE- the underlined that does not apply to every mechanic.

Thanx for the info buddy....Hmm.. Bajaj got back to traditional switches....,.The greatest part of debate is the price of Bcu... Damn.. Its 1k above... Price more than the master coil that is Cdi...Whether how much care we take shorting will happen at one point of time.. Raining, wire contacts, etc...So it may lead to damage of bcu.. So bajaj thought to keep a dot for it and removed it... A good move..Once again another doubt.. Some (drvmtm i think) said newer pulsar from ug4 have Tci ignition..! Is it true.?? Is this the cause of smooth starting of newer pulsars..??I read several articles about tci and cdi ignitions where the ultimate conclusion is tci is reliable..!!Is this the cause bajaj chosed tci..?What do P200ns have.? I think tci...What are your observations buddy..?Pls dont mind for asking so many questions,.. As a Pulsar lover.. I want to know many things.. mods: pls dont mind for little OT

newer pulsars (135,150,180,200ns,220) are having dc cdi

DC-CDI - The DC-CDI module is powered by the battery, and therefore an additional DC/AC inverter circuit is included in the CDI module to raise the 12 V DC to 400-600 V DC (which is known as h.t. coil), making the CDI module slightly larger. However, vehicles that use DC-CDI systems have more precise ignition timing and the engine can be started more easily when cold. -SOURCE WIKIPEDIA (Ignition system - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

even the vehicles by Honda, tvs, etc. are using dc cdi e.g. TVS scooty pep+,etc..

Even Heard that DC-CDI helps in better durability of spark plug, and combustion mixture of ICE

K... Then why drvmtm said that Newer generations have TCI...???

Ultimately durability is important..!!! But as you said its for better starting, its an added advantage...!!!

Yes... at any cost whatever the cold temp is..., my bike starts with just single kick and also starts ONLY just with one kick after a week of non usage..!!! I JUST LOVE THAT THING....!!!!!

Till now i havent heard that Honda uses TCI ignition...
